Chai Desert Radio, the voice of the Jewish Federation of New Mexico, provides a uniquely New Mexican perspective on places, faces, and issues of importance to Jews at home, in Israel, and worldwide. We engage in conversations and interviews with thought leaders and difference makers in the arts, culture, sports, religion, politics, and more to examine these topics through a Jewish and Southwestern lens.

In this episode, world-renowned Middle East expert and ex-CIA operative Bob Baer sits down with Federation past president Sabra Minkus to discuss a variety of topics, including the rise of anti-Semitism in the U.S., the climate for Jews abroad, and his recently-concluded History Channel program, Hunting Hitler.

Dr. Baer will be the Jewish Federation of New Mexico’s 2019 featured speaker Monday, January 21 at the James A. Little Theater in Santa Fe, where he will deliver a lecture and sign copies of his many award-winning books.

Hey! We are J & E! This is the first episode of our podcast “We’re Going There”! In this episode, we are introducing ourselves and diving into the experiences of being bi-racial or not “fitting in” or meeting up to the “standards” within our specific cultures. We will dive into our own personal experiences and hope that many will be able to relate. This podcast doesn’t have an actual “theme, genre, or one step and stone topic”. Beyond Our DnA is a podcast that discusses real conversations within interracial relationships. We will be discussing how we met, why we decided to create a podcast and hope to identify and break down stereotypes, biases and judgements within interracial relationships. We aim to shed light on what we have experienced and how we triumphed through those challenges. There will be interracial couples that will discuss their encounters and what they face in their daily lives as well. Beyond Our DnA main focus is to promote love and to showcase that Love has no color.

A podcast for students of God’s Word. Our podcast is designed to survey the 66 books of the Bible through a three-step study: 1.Read. First, we read the text and provide a basic outline of the material. 2. Think. Next, we dig a little bit deeper into some key aspects of the passage (i.e. key words/phrases, the historical/cultural/Biblical context, theological implications, etc.) 3. Apply. In the final section of the podcast, we discuss how the Scriptures apply to the Christian life today.

The 66 Podcast is a part of the ministries of the Ashville Road Church of Christ in Leeds, AL. Drew Kizer has been the minister at the Ashville Road Church of Christ since 2000. He is the author of several books, including The Cast of the Cross (available online at Amazon or Barnes & Noble).
