Chasing the Beauty with Mike Donehey

Chasing the Beauty with Mike Donehey

    by

    Since Dec 7, 2020 06:00 UTC

Mike Donehey is a recording artist, author of the bestseller Finding God’s Life for My Will, speaker and a founding member of the band Tenth Avenue North.

Mike has seen his fair share of the unexpected. Following a potentially fatal car crash as a teen, Mike learned to play the guitar while still in bed recovering from his injuries. Learning the guitar gave birth to songwriting, and that songwriting led to the formation of the band Tenth Avenue North. One of the most loved and successful artists in Christian music, Tenth Avenue North radio favorites include Love Is Here, By Your Side, You Are More, Losing, Worn, I Have This Hope, and the multi-week no. 1 smash Control (Somehow You Want Me).

Despite the group’s widespread popularity, Tenth Avenue North’s members sensed at the beginning of 2020 that they each had their own unique roads to follow. Mike seized this opportunity to expand as a storyteller, communicator and thought instigator wherever his voice can be heard. In addition to recording his first solo album and preparing his second book, Mike brings you this podcast, Chasing the Beauty.

Each Chasing the Beauty episode will look for God and joy in the unexpected places. To quote Ann Voskamp, “The secret to joy is to keep seeking God where we doubt He is.” Mike and his guests will look at those places – the heartbreaking, the awkward, the uncomfortable, the weird, and the wild – to find God. And where God can be found, joy can be found as well (“Those who sow with tears will reap with shouts of joy.” Psalm 126).

Livin That Life – Digital Nomad Podcast

Livin That Life – Digital Nomad Podcast

    by

    Since Sep 9, 2016 16:38 UTC

Interviews with digital nomads and location-independent entrepreneurs. This podcast shares success stories and practical tips to inspire and help anyone who is looking into the location-independent career path. Livin That Life is the YouTube travel vlog and video podcast by Riley Bennett, a full-time digital nomad since 2015. Based mostly in Southeast Asia, Riley has visited over 30+ countries and interviewed dozens of successful location-independent entrepreneurs, remote workers, freelancers, online business owners, full-time travelers, and overall interesting people living the ‘new rich’ lifestyle, a term coined by Tim Ferriss in The 4-Hour Workweek – known as the ‘digital nomad bible’. This lifestyle follows this philosophy – using the internet to create passive income streams in order to spend more time doing things we enjoy doing, and as little time as possible doing things we’d rather not be doing. Rather than focusing solely on money, its all about having time & location freedom – to focus on interesting & fun things you’re into – like travel, creating content, self-education, studying philosophy and spirituality, sports & fitness, learning new skills, and of course, building more income streams. This podcast is all about just showing what’s possible in this amazing time we live in.

    by

    Since Jun 14, 2020 22:40 UTC

From the ashes of a previously boring podcast about something, comes the newest podcast from a nobody with a microphone. Follow along as we delve into unnecessary topics being discussed, what might be deemed by the “cool kids” as hot takes on current events and so much more. We are not planning on being consistent, but we plan to keep pumping out content, whether it’s in long episodes or mini-episodes. Also, feel free to listen to any and all of the episodes from the old podcast, There You Go, which are prefixed with “TYG” before the episode name. Creep the show at @ThatCrowShow. The First Mile

    The First Mile

    by

    Since Oct 1, 2020 18:10 UTC

The First Mile is an immersive travel podcast, bringing you untold stories from the world of adventure. It is presented by Ash Bhardwaj and Pip Stewart — two travel journalists, who are adventurers in their own right — and explores everything from the ethics of cultural tourism, to documenting your journeys and making a living from travel. Ash and Pip navigate this territory with some of the world’s greatest travellers, who reveal how they got their first break in travel writing, planned remote expeditions, or made the switch from a corporate career to a life of adventure. Alongside these in-depth interviews are travel-narrative dispatches: evocative field recordings from Ash and Pip’s adventures, which take the listener along for the ride. New episodes are released weekly, in 10-episode seasons. ****** Season one’s interview guests include: author Monisha Rajesh, explorer Levison Wood, film-maker Reza Pakravan, and travel-writer Leon McCarron. Our dispatches come from Annapurna, Nepal, and Whanganui, New Zealand, where our hosts report back on rites of passage, celestial navigation, the joys of moonshine liquor, and a whole lot more. ****** Ash Bhardwaj is an award-winning broadcaster, film-maker and Telegraph Travel columnist. He regularly reports for BBC Radio 4 and the World Service, and his films have appeared on BBC, Channel 4, Discovery and National Geographic. Pip Stewart has cycled halfway around the world and completed a world-first kayak descent of Guyana’s Essequibo River (where she picked up a flesh-eating parasite). She is the former Red Bull adventure editor, and her presenting work has appeared on BBC, Al Jazeera and The Telegraph. ****** We hope you enjoy The First Mile. Please let us know what you think of it in the comments, and give us a rating, too.
