With a fruitful medical practice as an orthopedic surgeon, John Bacon really had no reason to become an artist. But while on vacation and at the urging of his wife, they took a painting class together and he found a love for putting paint to canvas. He decided to pursue life as an artist as he was heading toward retirement from medicine. Making the wise choice to take a course on painting, Dr. Bacon grew in his depth and knowledge of color in ways that can be experienced through his wild abstractions. Having his art represented in galleries across Europe has given him as much pleasure as spending hours in his studio creating the art.
