Every writer dreams of hearing just four words from his or her agent: “Are you sitting down?” I heard those words when my agent sold my first book after a bidding war between Penguin Books and HarperCollins. They changed my life, but I had to go through a lot of ups and downs to get to that point. This podcast is about those ups and downs, and all points in-between.
I’m on a mission to help other entrepreneurs to realize their potential. My passion is to help you start, brand & grow your business. I hope that my stories, scenarios & tips will motivate you into success. Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/remiahtrask/support

Two boys from the Foundling Hospital are given the same name, with disastrous consequences in adulthood. Two associates, wishing to right the wrong, are commissioned to find a missing heir. Their quest takes them from fungous wine cellars in the City of London to the sunshine of the Mediterranean — across the Alps in winter. Danger and treachery would prevail were it not for the courage of the heroine and the faithful company servant. The story contains crafted descriptions, well-drawn and diverse characters, eerie and exotic backgrounds, mystery, semi-concealed identities, brinkmanship with death, romance, the eventual triumph of Good over Evil, and many other elements expected in classic Dickens. First published in 1867 there are thematic parallels with other books from Dickens’ mature writings, including Little Dorrit (1857) and especially Our Mutual Friend (1865). The Listener will decide if this story yields insights into The Mystery of Edwin Drood (unfinished 1870). Wilkie Collings collaborated with Charles Dickens to produce this ‘Christmas’ book and the stage play of the same name. In the book Collins assisted in Act 1 and Act 4; Collins scripted most of the stage play with Dickens’ assistance. If this book were released today it would be splashed “THE BOOK OF THE FILM”. Summary by Alan Chant.

Something that has been coming up in Julianne’s conversations with girlfriends and clients alike is varying frequencies is inner turmoil over romantic relationships:
– “I love him, but he’s not quite where I want him to be.”
– “I can see his struggles, but I can’t get him to change.”
– “He’s just not ‘at my level.’”
Much of this inner voice is all ego. So how do we get our partners to change while still honoring them?
It all comes back to love and being what Julianne calls “the pillar of example.”
We often have a hard time letting go of control. But in clenching and trying to grasp at something, you create more of what you don’t want. In this episode, Julianne explains that if you’re wanting to create a beautiful, abundant life and call in an incredible partner, doing it from tension won’t allow those things to come into your field. By focusing on you and your growth and raising your own frequency, you lovingly guide your partner.
Moments:
4:25 – Deep dive into what the internal conversations are like
9:10 – How do we get our partners to start changing?
11:26 – Julianne’s journaling revelations – coming back to love
14:52 – Raising your vibration to influence others
17:20 – Leading by example in relationships
19:00 – Leading from the feminine
Quotes:
“How do we actually get our partners to start changing? We don’t. We don’t have the power to change them. The only people we can change are ourselves. The one thing we can do is lead by focusing on ourselves.”
“Using my energy to change somebody else is not good for me or them. There’s no value there because it’s taking away the energy we can be using on ourselves to grow, which raises the vibration of everyone around us.”
“We always influence more change in our loved ones by being leaders of example.”
