As Christians we try out best to become like Christ. In doing so, we have created a culture where we may have lost a part of the true meaning of the gospel. We need to ask ourselves: are we living the culture or are we living the gospel? The more we are willing to have open conversations and really listen to others, within or outside of the church, we develop more of a capacity to “become one.” “If ye are not one, ye are not mine.” Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jennifer-marie-stout/support

Established in 2010, The Magic Lantern Show was conceived as a live stage talk-show featuring musical guests and performances, hosted by myself. Modeled after The Dick Cavett Show, the program was not recorded in any fashion and meant as a way of localizing the talk show experience. Playing at various venues across The United States the show featured a variety of guests including Yellow Ostrich, Anna Wang and the Oh Boys!, Cait and the Girls, The Shortsleeves, and others. The Magic Lantern Show enjoyed several successes as a live program and at one point fielded interest from executives at NBC. In Fall of 2020, The Magic Lantern Show was revived as a radio program / podcast available on podcast streaming programs, and airing on KCIA, Fridays from 7 to 8pm. Featuring vintage cuts and commercial breaks, the show has refocused as an artist/creative salon in keeping with the style and comfortable conversation of Dick Cavett’s programs.

That is the question.” Grace Curley discusses and dissects the psychological and philosophical meaning behind culturally impactful and personally inspiring classics: From films, to books, to art, to philosophy. ‘To See or Not to See’ was conceived to expand the perspective and the conversation on beloved media by entering from an angle that is usually overlooked or not discussed.

TuneFM is the University of New England’s campus radio station, a high power open narrowcasting service operated by UNESA (UNE’s Student Association). With a forty plus year history, the station is Australia’s oldest university broadcaster, serving UNE’s students, staff, and the broader Armidale community. All music used in this podcast is covered under TuneFM’s APRA AMCOS Online Music Licence. TuneFm has a long history of music, politics and activism – stemming from our radical start back in April 1970. 2UNE came into being as a result of a growing dissatisfaction with a sleepy Liberal Government during the swinging 60s. With the backing of Sir Zelman Cowan, the then Vice-Chancellor, the UNE Radio Committee pushed for a licence to broadcast across the campus. Finally they were successful, and put together a studio in the Milton building. Then on that fateful day, April 27th 1970, Dick Mutton muttered the words “Radio UNE, the time is 7 o’clock”.
