    Since May 28, 2020 16:45 UTC

We are four educators and friends who all have very different tastes in movies. Watch and listen along with Tony, Anna, Ronnie, and Zsnai as we share the films that must be seen. They could be great, terrible or anywhere in between. In each episode one of the hosts picks a movie to share. Tony is the nerdy one, Anna brings the indies, Ronnie loves action and comedies, and Zsnai is the film newbie. So no matter if you love film or barely know anything, this is the podcast for you! For our first episode we are watching Anna’s pick, 2004’s Saved! Saved! is a 2004 American satirical comedy film directed by Brian Dannelly, and starring Jena Malone, Mandy Moore, and Macaulay Culkin. Its plot follows a teenage girl at a Christian high school who has sex with her boyfriend in an attempt to “cure” him of his homosexuality; she gets pregnant, and becomes a pariah among her peers.

Star Trek Audio Drama from Giant Gnome Productions. Life is good for Lt. Greg Torkelson aboard the USS Remington a Starfleet research vessel stationed near the Venderis Nebula. However, when word comes that he’s been promoted to the Executive Officer of Deep Space Station 3, an outpost in the backwaters of Federation space, he quickly discovers that all is not as it appears, and what seems to be too good to be true just might be. ” In the darkest reaches of the United Federation of Planets, an isolated station stands sentinel over a neglected frontier. Commissioned long ago with high hopes, its promise is now all but forgotten; a lonely outpost serving as the gateway to the vast expanse beyond, where discovery…and adventure…await..”- Lt. Commander Gregory Torkelson

    Since Oct 29, 2020 13:00 UTC

Out of My Mind in Costa Rica or OOMMCR for short is an effort to help those who suffer from PTSD and C-PTSD and support the people who love them. OOMMCR is a personal journal of my Hero’s Journey mixed with clinical insights and stories of my trials and tribulations as a human being who was raised in an incest family. I’m a retired clinical social worker from California I hope this podcast will persuade you or someone you love to take positive steps towards healing the devastating wounds that resulted in the development of PTSD or C-PTSD.I am new podcasting, so please bear with me as I do my best to improve the quality of my content and the quality of my production. I am a stickler for detail, but I want this podcast to be like visiting an old friend. I want to credit Audionautix for my intro and outro music. It’s a tune called Big Blues You can learn more about Audionautix at: http://audionautix.com.That said, let the pods begin.

Start Me Up with Kimberley A. Johnson

    by

Hosted by blogger and author Kimberley A. Johnson.’Start Me Up’ isn’t just any other podcast. I’m willing to call BS when I see it and I don’t care if it’s coming from a rightwinger or a self-professed bleedingheart liberal. I’m not always politically correct and I’m a huge fan of loose talk and salty language. Sarcasm is guaranteed and political correctness will be at a minimum. This podcast is for anyone who wants to listen to compelling conversations with a variety of guests about current events and controversial topics.

    Rethoughts Out Loud

    Rethoughts Out Loud

    by

    Since Dec 12, 2019 01:42 UTC

When I explain Rethoughts to someone, I often use the imagery of a tree. To aid in a tree’s growth we prune branches that get in the way. These branches may be diseased, home to pests, or running into each other. By removing the parts that no longer serve the organism we also promote growth in another direction. In many ways Rethoughts is a method of growing, but with an added emphasis on pruning the parts of us that no longer serve us. It is a call to rethink what you are or, more accurately, what you think you are. Welcome to Rethoughts, a revolution of the mind.

    Americast

    Americast

    by

    Since Jan 29, 2020 10:40 UTC

The authoritative weekly US news and politics podcast from BBC News, Americast investigates the social and cultural issues that define America today.

Is Joe Biden too old to win another go in the White House? What does Donald Trump’s latest criminal charge mean for the Republican campaign? And why have issues such as LGBT rights, global warming and the war effort in Ukraine become so divisive across the US political spectrum? From foreign policy to pop culture, Americast keeps you up to date and in the know about the stories that matter with on-the-ground insights from right across the US.

Americast is hosted by trusted journalists including the BBC’s North America editor Sarah Smith, North America correspondent Anthony Zurcher, presenter Justin Webb, and disinformation and social media correspondent, Marianna Spring. Joined by special guests each week such as former chief medical adviser to the president, Dr Anthony Fauci, former FBI director James Comey, CNN anchor and author Jake Tapper, Succession actress J Smith-Cameron, and Suruthi Bala and Hannah Maguire from podcast RedHanded, they look at America through an international lens, trying to make sense of the increasingly polarised political debate.

Each week on Americast, Marianna Spring also brings listeners the latest update on BBC Undercover Voters, the award-winning investigation into the content that is recommended to US voters on social media. Marianna has created undercover voters – multiple social media accounts belonging to different characters who sit across the US political divide. By tracking the content that is pushed at each of them, this investigation will cover a turbulent time for US politics with speculation over a Trump bid for the presidency and Biden facing domestic and international challenges.
