Sisterhood Through Grief is a collaborative group of women, who lost their spouses and bonded through their grief support group. While we are not licensed therapists or doctors, we are all women who have gained knowledge and wisdom from the journey of grief we endured and survived. We will share what we suffered, encountered, and conquered during our journeys and impart raw truth about grieving. We’ll offer compassionate support by providing empathy and validating one’s grief. Knowing you are not alone and having someone who can say, “I know how you feel” is priceless and the gift we will present to our listeners to promote healing, offer hope, and ease pain.

Ever wonder what Mac and Kevin talk about on the phone? Well, wonder no longer! In this upcoming new podcast, Mac and Kevin pick a topic each and discuss it over the phone with each other. Are they experts? Most certainly not. Are they comedians? Not unless you like dad jokes, bad jokes, or inside jokes. Do they have any podcast experience? Uhhh, ask again a year from now. They may say “um” and “like” a lot, but probably not as frequently as they interrupt each other by accident or both sit silently waiting for the other one to talk. So hopefully you already liked them as people, otherwise this may not be the podcast for you. While the format of this podcast will be ever-evolving, the general premise is this: Mac and Kevin pick a topic, do some research, and share their findings and thoughts over the phone. And that’s it! First episode is set to “air” on Wednesday (air is in quotes as the logistics of setting up an actual podcast is still in the works), but you can check out the teaser and brainstorming calls in advance. Feedback and suggestions are welcome, donations are encouraged, and enthusiasm is required!

I started podcasting for my website www.gitarlo.de and I realized how much I enjoy doing it so I thought, why not do a podcast on my on music. Part of it is to make myself a little more consistent with the rehearsing even if there aren’t many shows scheduled at the moment. So the idea is not to give you a perfect version of the songs but to play them more freely, maybe improvise a little and to play versions of the songs. I’ll also talk about them if you are interested in it. It’s the raw rehearsal situation so I won’t edit anything out. Sorry. You’ll get the real me. I think that’s also kind of liberating for me. I’ll just play as good as I can and if I mess up, I get to mess up. I hope you enjoy it and get someting out of it. If you do (and even if you don’t and hate it), please feel free to get in touch. I’m really happy to hear from you and learn about your experience in music and in life. And obviously, if you’d like a guitar lesson or do a lesson on songwriting I’m definitely available. info@gitarlo.com
