Welcome to Sooo Stignatious!, the podcast where the name is made up but the people are real! My name is Jake Curhan. I’m a 21 year-old student athlete at UC Berkeley. I am going into my redshirt junior year and have started at right tackle for the past two years for Cal Football. I love playing football and have had a good college career so far, however, my passions lie outside of football as well. I have tons of interests and one day want to have a career surrounding one of them. In Sooo Stignatious!, I talk to people that have specific passions and have took action towards making them part of their everyday lives. By talking to these people, my hope is for myself, and the audience, to learn how we can apply our passions to our life everyday life. Feel free to subscribe or leave a rating, and as always, stay Stignatious!

There is “no one way” to start and stay in the field of cyber security. Whether you are involved from the military, law enforcement, consulting, or IT services, it doesn’t matter. I have had countless discussions for years with other professionals online, at conferences, or over drinks, which have changed the way I think about cyber security. That is where this podcast comes in. What if I can capture those moments and frank discussions? I want to share the stories from other cyber security leaders and influencers so everyone can learn from their respective journeys and challenges. Why did they take the path they did? Who were their mentors? How did they tackle some of their biggest career challenges? By hearing how the industry leaders and influencers got to where they are and how they overcame some of the problems they faced, I hope to shed light on the path for other professionals. I will discover what motivates them, explore their journey in cyber security, and discuss where they think the industry is going.

In the spirit of the great “Mister First Nighter”, Murray Rothbard’s movie critic review pen name, Robert and I analyze popular movies from a Anarcho-Capitalist perspective.
We use movies as a starting point for people who may not be familiar with this way of thinking. Discussion of the plot and decisions that characters make in relation to morality and violations of the non-aggression principle are our bread and butter.
We also will highlight and discuss any themes or lessons from Austrian Economics that we can glean from the film.
The point is to show what anarchy actually is with instances that are presented in film.
Sometimes it’s just the two hosts talking and sometimes featuring guests in the Liberty movement such as Walter Block, Adam Kokesh, and members of the Tom Woods Elite, and more…
We publish on Sundays and for holidays or other special events as available.
