Frequently families like mine don’t know what’s available to help us, we’re too focused on getting through our day-to-day. But even if we had time, we would need to know what to look for. There had to be a better way, so I launched ABCs of Disability Planning. It’s my mission to introduce a new organization or individual that is serving those with disabilities every week. Does a certain guest resonate with you? Reach out to them. Or, if you’d prefer, I’d be happy to make an introduction. Have an idea or topic you’d like covered? Please send it to eric@specialneedsnavigator.us Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/abcs-disability-planning/support

Hello! No Trigger Warnings podcast is a safe place for women to share their journeys trying to conceive with advanced maternal age. From sex and relationships, miscarriages and medications to IVF protocols and red light therapy. The struggle is very real and extremely isolating. Sometimes trying to conceive turns into trying to adopt, or trying to heal and move on, or trying to grapple with the emotions and logistics of using donor oocytes, sperm or embryos. Sometimes it means needing a gestational carrier, like myself. Infertility can be caused by damage to sperm, oocytes or both. It can be due to physical and anatomical abnormalities and/or hormonal irregularities in both sexes, such as PCOS in women and low testosterone in men. Infertility can present itself as repeat implantation failure, repeat pregnancy loss and still births, high-risk pregnancies… this is not an exhaustive list. Infertility, whether due to age or something else, can lead to serious trauma-related mental health disorders such as complex PTSD, perpetual grief, depression and anxiety. Infertility robs you of the ability to feel joy or peace by casting a dark shadow over your life. When you reach the “geriatric mark,” things get touch. When you reach 40, things get crazy! You are often given abysmal odds, little hope of success and made to feel like an absolute nutjob for wanting to have a baby at “your age.” If you are struggling to conceive with advanced maternal age, please know that you are not alone. “Get A Womb” is a podcast created by myself, an older mom, and I am also on this journey. I am the author of No Trigger Warnings Blog where I write articles on supplements, methods, protocols, research… all things TTC with AMA! www.notriggerwarnings.com – Subscribe so you get the information YOU need to know! If you would like to share your story, whether you have been successful yet or not, no matter the way in which you are conceiving, please contact me at ttc40plus@gmail.com Instagram: @no.trigger.warnings
