    My Black Book Journal

    by

    Since Jan 25, 2021 02:00 UTC

My Black Book Journal is the first podcast of Act Justly | Love Mercy. My Black Book Journal explores Black stories through book reviews and interviews to uncover lessons in life, love, and leadership. We do this through a Gospel-centered perspective that is unapologetically black and unashamedly Christian. We believe the stories and experiences of Black people matter, and we desire to show the world how Black people have contributed and continue to contribute to the changing and shaping of society and culture.

Presented By Black Literature & Art Queens Network – BLAQN.org The podcast where we honor and acknowledge black womxn performers and discuss racism within Michigan Performing Venues. Two or three Mondays out of each month, I sit down and have a chat with Michigan’s talented Black Womxn performers of various genres; from Actor to Burlesque, from Singer to Exotic Dancer, from Poet to Instrumentalist. In each discussion, we talk about their artistic profession and the racism, misogyny, and other discriminatory behaviors they’ve experienced from others and how it affects them. As an actor myself, I’m tremendously interested in art. So what a better way to build a network of Black Womxn artist, than to find out more about each one in a platform that amplifies their voices.

    Hunting Dragons

    by

    Since Feb 25, 2015 22:41 UTC

There is a universal truth about dragons: They hoard treasure and they let no one steal it. I was shanghaied by Black Jack Murphy and his crew on the airship the Lady Jean. They wanted me to chronicle their dragon hunts in song. Little did Murphy know. My sympathies lie on the side of the dragons. This journal, and the resulting CD, tells the true story of Pirates vs Dragons.

    Since Nov 1, 2006 17:00 UTC

In this podiobook: Garum and Vayin are “duals,” twins trapped in each other’s minds and bodies, sharing one life. When a deranged wizard hunts them, whom can they turn to? Their mentor? The city guard Vayin loves? The Wizards’ Guild? In a world that hates duals, anyone could be their enemy, and one misstep could get them killed.”Children of Rhatlan is a unique romp through an original world that not only entertained me, but made me think as well. I can think of no higher praise for a fantasy novel.”-Steve Lazarowitz, author of Alaric Swifthand”There were enough twists and turns to keep me riveted until the last lines. Children of Rhatlan is a winner!” -Jonathan Lambert, Millennium Science Fiction and Fantasy”Magic, treachery, valor, prejudice-Fesmire builds a world sword and sorcery fans will welcome and adventure fans will want to explore fully.” -Lisa DuMond, SF Site and MEviews

    Since Feb 8, 2023 01:09 UTC

In these episodes, I am going to share over forty years of working on the tech side of the theatre industry. Lighting, Rigging, Scenery, being a TD, LD, stagehand, working as an installer of theatre equipment systems, and ultimately getting into sales and leadership roles. What sparked this idea was talking with a young man who was trying to decide if a future in the theatre industry was right for him. The views and opinions expressed in this program are my own and do not reflect the views or positions of my employer. The material and information presented here is for general information purposes only.
