    Good Luck With the Book

    Good Luck With the Book

    by

    Since Sep 4, 2020 09:05 UTC

Join Sarah and Jamie as they discuss the new books they love, along plenty of news, stories and chats. The books featured and reviewed vary from the literary to lighthearted, from sport (hmm… maybe!) to children’s literature. Their only criteria is that they adore the book and want to tell everyone about it. A happy little something to wake up to on a Sunday morning. Best served with a large coffee and a pastry.

The Magic Lantern Show, Hosted by Matthew Pagoaga

The Magic Lantern Show, Hosted by Matthew Pagoaga

    by

    Since Oct 12, 2020 19:36 UTC

Established in 2010, The Magic Lantern Show was conceived as a live stage talk-show featuring musical guests and performances, hosted by myself. Modeled after The Dick Cavett Show, the program was not recorded in any fashion and meant as a way of localizing the talk show experience. Playing at various venues across The United States the show featured a variety of guests including Yellow Ostrich, Anna Wang and the Oh Boys!, Cait and the Girls, The Shortsleeves, and others. The Magic Lantern Show enjoyed several successes as a live program and at one point fielded interest from executives at NBC. In Fall of 2020, The Magic Lantern Show was revived as a radio program / podcast available on podcast streaming programs, and airing on KCIA, Fridays from 7 to 8pm. Featuring vintage cuts and commercial breaks, the show has refocused as an artist/creative salon in keeping with the style and comfortable conversation of Dick Cavett’s programs.

    Yelling at concrete

    Yelling at concrete

    by

    Since May 19, 2017 15:03 UTC

Yelling at concrete isbi-weekly podcast for coffee and conversation, taking a look at the life and interests of the guests who chat with me as well as taking an introverted look at topics I’m interested in!

Graham is an artist and passionate creative who thrives on generating conversation and discussion in a more abstract manner than just posing questions so three weeks out of each month with a one week breather he sits down to have a cuppa and chat. When guests come they bring their own topic so every episode is lead by the guests interests and what they want to discuss and the solo casts are wandering thoughts on subjects which interest Graham. The goal is keep the subjects diverse and give people a space to just have a chill and talk about what’s really going on.

You can catch the show three times a month on a Friday and follow it through the year as Graham brings you a range of guests and topics. The key word is conversation so we don’t edit we just talk and that allows us to relax and really get into subjects. I hope you’ll join us.

    Bhagavad Gita

    Bhagavad Gita

    by

    Since Feb 8, 2022 23:15 UTC

The content of the text is a conversation between Krishna and Arjuna taking place on the battlefield of Kurukshetra just prior to the start of a climactic war. Responding to Arjuna’s confusion and moral dilemma, Krishna explains to Arjuna his duties as a warrior and Prince and elaborates on a number of different Yogic and Vedantic philosophies, with examples and analogies. This has led to the Gita often being described as a concise guide to Hindu philosophy and also as a practical, self-contained guide to life. During the discourse, Krishna reveals his identity as the Supreme Being Himself (Bhagavan), blessing Arjuna with an awe-inspiring glimpse of His divine absolute form.
