Where’s the Grief is a weekly podcast about loss and grief in everyday life that somehow manages to be consistently funny, surprisingly insightful and easily absorbed. It’s a show that isn’t afraid to face some of the most difficult questions of what it ultimately means to be human, while finding the ever-present comedy in our day-to-day truths, and some of the things we all fear. In each episode, host Jordon Ferber interviews comedians, actors, writers, and others who have experienced tragic loss—not just of loved ones, but of jobs, homes, security and familiarity—and are making their way through to the other side. Ferber himself is no stranger to grief, having lost his younger brother to a car accident at the age of 21. Drawing on his own experience, as well as his 20+ years of work as a standup comedian in NYC—which can be tragic, in and of itself—Ferber brings insight, pathos and humor to his role as host. All the while, exhibiting camaraderie with his guests, putting them at ease and making the show surprisingly enjoyable for listeners.

Inspiration for creatives, from a geeky, voice actor’s perspective. My intention is to help creatives be kinder to themselves (we’re our own worst critics!). There’s plenty of bad in the world. I prefer to focus on the good. It was a true pleasure to talk with Clara and Jonathan about their creative process, how they work together as a creative couple and find time to figure out their work / life balance. I’ve spoken about Lullaby Theories in a previous podcast ( (https://www.coatofarmspost.com/) . I have no doubt they’ll continue to create stellar video work for both clients and themselves in the future. I think you’ll find this conversation particularly inspiring if you’re a creative that’s pulled in a lot of different directions. Listening to how the two of them handle their busy lives and keep their critical inner voices from sabotaging them, was definitely helpful to hear. Thanks for listening! This episode was very skillfully made to sound beautiful by the talented Humberto Franco ( (http://www.humbertofranco.com/) ). BIOS: Clara Lehmann: Clara wrote the award-winning documentary, A Perfect Soldier and co-directed and wrote the short-animated film, Death Loves Life. She’s directing & producing Lullaby Theories, an animated series that teaches kids about scientific theories and a feature length documentary called Born In A Ballroom. Clara works with clients like Google, Fox, Nickelodeon, The Onion and WebMD. She has three Excellence in Title Design nominations at South by Southwest, a gold and a silver Cannes Lion, and a Webby Nomination. Jonathan Lacocque: Jonathan has past experience at post studios, agencies, and broadcasting companies. His clients include PBS, Verizon, Jaguar Land Rover, Marriott, and Warner Brother Records. He produced & edited the award-winning film, A Perfect Soldier and continues to balance his commercial work with documentary and narrative filmmaking. He’s produced and edited multiple feature films and shorts / and continues to explore his passion for original stories with Coat of Arms’ Lullaby Theories series, and the documentary film, Born in a Ballroom. Past awards include an Emmy for editing, several Tellys, and multiple film festival awards.

Alan is a virgin, but that is not a big problem for him with Tracy and Gwinn desiring his attentions. He has larger concerns on his mind. He is swept into the hidden underground of Midgard, once the shining jewel of enlightenment and technology. The city is regressing back to an unenlightened and vicious age following the end of the world in the Cataclysm. All that remains is a corrupt governor and self-proclaimed god who rules all with an iron fist, a religious cult planning to dismantle society, and a rebel army who fights against Governor Fredrick. As Alan is pulled into the fighting, he finds it hard to discern friend from foe while desperately trying to find his place in the remnants of society. But when he discovers the secrets behind the Cataclysm, it becomes a struggle to save humanity from itself. A nontraditional epic fantasy mixed with post-apocalyptic science fiction, this is not the first book of a long, unending series, but a standalone story that possesses everything necessary to enjoy the adventure. It does not contain many of the normal fantasy or science fiction tropes either, leaving this story unique in a field where each book on the surface appears to be the same as the ones before. Endospore is something special, a story unlike any other.

How do we reconcile descending from South Asian indentured labour while living in diaspora with many layers of migration? How do we indenture descendants relate or not relate to ancestral homelands on the South Asian subcontinent? What does it mean to be Indian? What does “Indian” mean? And how do these meanings change across migrations of time and space? There is no one answer, let alone a correct answer. These meanings are fluid. The beauty is that these stories are not monoliths–every individual has a unique experience to share. Join us in discovering them!
