In this 3D audio series, ex-British Paratrooper and history fanatic Bruce Crompton narrates incredible tales of bravery from conflicts throughout the ages to support military institutions. All around the world military museums are in danger of closing and smaller, veterans charities desperately need more support. If we allow them to perish, the history contained within them will be lost, as will vital life-lines for our cherished veterans. Remember, Military museums aren’t just places of learning, they’re places of remembrance too. Splunk [Data Fabric Search and Data Stream Processor] 2019 .conf Videos w/ Slides Popular stream processing frameworks (such as Apache Spark Streaming, Apache Flink, and Apache Kafka Streams) make stream processing accessible to developers with language bindings typically in Java, Scala, and Python. These frameworks also include some variant of streaming SQL support to further expand the accessibility of large-scale, low-latency, high-throughput stream processing. What’s missing is bringing the world of stream processing to the Business Intelligence user. At Splunk we’ve built a tool called Splunk Data Stream Processor (DSP) to fill this gap. In this session, Max and Sharon will present the design and architecture of DSP. We will compare it with other stream processing frameworks to show you how DSP allows users to visually author and preview stream processing pipelines and instantly deploy them at scale. We will also present our developer SDKs, allowing third-party custom functions to be developed and integrated for data processing. With its high level abstractions for business users and extensible framework for developers, Data Stream Processor makes stream processing accessible to the widest possible audience.

Digging Deep Men’s Bible Study is an interactive, on-line Bible study led by Caleb Colley and Ben Giselbach. There are three aspects of participation in the Digging Deep Study for Men: 1. Study material. The study material is a free PDF download from calebcolley.com/diggingdeep. It is in 12 lessons, each of which is designed to be the basis for a month’s worth of personal or group study. The study is posted in quarterly portions (e.g., September through November, December through February, etc.). 2. Facebook discussion. Our Facebook group, Digging Deep Men’s Bible Study, is our forum for discussion. I will moderate the comments from time to time, and I will use comments in the group as the basis for some remarks in the monthly podcast. 3. Monthly podcast. I will post to this page and to the Facebook page an audio podcast, about an hour in length, toward the theme each month. In this podcast I will discuss various passages, reflecting on comments made in the group throughout the month, and I also will make some recommendations for further study. 4. Digging Deep Pulpit, a monthly audio sermon on the current subject.
