Dominicans have often been jokingly referred to as the Hounds of the Lord. We are always on the hunt, always running after the Lord Jesus Christ who is Truth Himself. So what’s it like to be both a runner and a Hound of the Lord, a Dominican Friar? Running and the religious life present us with great avenues for discussing the spiritual life and how we can grow in relationship with Jesus Christ. Just like athletes we need to train our spirits and strengthen our spiritual muscles for the journey ahead so that we can gain the prize that awaits us: Heaven and union with Christ.

Stories brings on individuals each week to share tales from their lives, typically prior to 2000, that left an impact on them, changed the way they see themselves or the world, or stand out as an exciting and captivating story from a different time.
Lewis shares a story with the team about his time in the US Air Force, his various roles, his conflicted feelings, and his experiences with protesting from within the ranks. He tells of the political climate and the harsh response to service members who did not want to be drafted. From D.C. to Ohio, Pennsylvania to San Francisco, Lewis tells of the Cold War climate.

My name is Adhiambo Agoro. A being who loves the outdoors, thrives in the simplicities of life, and everything it gives whether in substance, or human form. On days I am not chasing COB deadlines, I am probably on a mountain somewhere being faster, scaling higher, and getting stronger. I write happy and sad poetry + stories sometimes; I think that’s a good/fun thing too :). Most days have me on the move from one beautiful place to another trying to find meaning, be light, be my/others’ peace, and experience endless bliss. Great to have you here! See you around!✨
