Upside Out – Renaming Adversity as Possibility

    by

    Since Apr 2, 2020 09:08 UTC

Times are really hard at the moment. But we need to move forward and we will. This is an opportunity to be vulnerable and find courage to redefine the way we live, work, love and achieve our potentials. We are stubborn optimists, and we believe that by looking at the upside of things and breaking out from the external boundaries we have set for ourselves we can find opportunities for something better. In order for us to thrive in adversity, we must rename uncertainty as possibility. How exactly, we are unsure as well, so we decided to ask amazing Leaders for inspiration.

With fun insights and memories sparked by commercials, TV shows, music and anything else you can think of from that era, you’ll be yelling along with us as the memories come flooding back. A new episode will be available every Thursday at 7:00 am Pacific Time. We’ll see you there. Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe (c.1660 – 1731)

Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe (c.1660 – 1731)

    by

    Since Jan 1, 1970 00:00 UTC

Daniel Defoe’s The Life and Strange Surprizing Adventures of Robinson Crusoe of York, Mariner (1719) is considered by many the first English novel. Based on the real-life experiences of the castaway Alexander Selkirk, the book has had a perennial appeal among readers of all ages-–especially the young adult reading public–-who continue to find inspiration in the inventive resourcefulness of its hero, sole survivor of a shipwreck who is marooned on an uninhabited island. Especially poignant, after more than two decades of unbroken solitude, is the affection that Robinson develops for Friday, another survivor fleeing certain death at the hands of enemy tribesmen from the South American continent.
