Our series debut is based on the disappearance and murder of wealthy Connecticut mother of five Jennifer Farber Dulos. Jennifer’s parents were well known in New York City’s philanthropic circles and her aunt and uncle created the Liz Claiborne fashion empire. She turned down a promising writing career in Hollywood and Broadway to marry a Connecticut luxury home builder and raise a family. The shocking case is still making headlines as Jennifer’s body has still not been found. Her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, was considered the prime suspect in the case. Fotis’ alleged accomplices, former lover, Michelle Troconis and his lawyer, Kent Mawhinney, are currently facing criminal charges in Connecticut, including conspiracy to commit murder. Both have pleaded not guilty. Pamela K. Browne and Cynthia Fagen are award-winning investigative journalists who have uncovered startling new details in this ongoing and tragic story of love, betrayal, greed and ultimately murder.

A podcast about English literature texts for senior high students. I am a teacher of senior English and Literature in Melbourne, Australia but have also taught at schools in New South Wales and in Oxford in the UK. If you’re wondering about the title of the podcast, it’s a reference to my name, Mrs Watkins and what many regard as the best opening line to a book: “Call me Ishmael” from Herman Melville’s “Moby Dick”.
