“The Blockwalkers” and similar random podcasts
With 2020 turning out to be one of the most important election years, The Blockwalkers highlights efforts being made in West Texas to elect more progressive candidates in our area. Cannon Roberts, campaign manager from Tom Watson – congressional candidate in Texas District 19 – talks with Engagement Director, Trevon Hardy, and members of his team about the ongoing campaign and interviews local leaders working to support the community. Our goal is to offer insights about how to run a grassroots campaign as well as provide firsthand accounts from progressives working in a conservative district. Bekka and Cannon discuss the last days of the campaign, why Jodey is the worst, and longing for a time when we didn’t feel like elections were a matter of life or death.
