Data visualisation and the future of academic publishing

Data visualisation and the future of academic publishing

    by

    Since Nov 2, 2016 11:38 UTC

On 10 June 2016, the Interactive Data Network held a one-day event designed to bring together publishers, academics, journalists, and technologists around the topic of data visualisation. The aim was to foster discussion and set new goals for collaboration and innovation; a question of particular interest is how academic institutions and publishers might work together to support researchers in creating data visualisations. Innovative visualisation technologies are enabling academics to communicate their research with new and larger audiences. Interactive visualisations of research data are increasingly available online and are encouraging publishers to reconsider past practices. This event will bring together publishers, academics, journalists and technologists around the topic of data visualisation. The aim is to foster discussion that will allow us to learn from one another and set new goals for collaboration and innovation.

    Murder in House Two

    Murder in House Two

    by

    Since Jan 9, 2023 05:00 UTC

The shocking, riveting inside story of one of the biggest cover-ups in US military history. You thought you knew about the Iraq War? Everything you knew is about to change. Forever. Written and narrated by filmmaker Michael Epstein, Murder in House Two is about what really happened in the Haditha Massacre of November 2005, when 24 unarmed Iraqi civilians – including women and young children – were shot multiple times by a group of US Marines. But it’s about much more, too: about one man’s fight for justice, about how the US government tried to prevent the truth ever getting out, about paranoia and persistence and an unshakeable belief in what is wrong and what is right. Cody was born dead to a drug-addicted mother and as a result has scars all over his body to this day. He survived the projects, the foster care system, and life on the streets at 18 years old. At 20 years old in the Texas prison system, 3 years into his sentence he desired a new way of life. When he learned his worth in Jesus, it changed him and he never looked back. Now Cody and his wife lead a church and travel to prisons with the message to remove the labels of society by seeing and accepting all people as Jesus does. WEB: www.worthypeople.org MAIL: P.O.
