What is our story beyond that? I believe everyone has got a bit of wisdom in them. In this podcast, I will have fun and fascinating conversations with citizens from around the globe, who travel in various paths of life. We will listen to their stories, learn, laugh and love. My hope is that their stories will feel a lot like our stories, and we may perhaps recognize a lot of us in them.

    Lessons from Grandpa

    Lessons from Grandpa

    by

    Since Aug 21, 2020 16:00 UTC

Welcome to an ongoing discussion between a grandfather and grandson about living life well. I’m Ryan Holdeman and this is my grandpa. He’s 95 years old and has spent his entire adult life courageously asking questions. He asks questions to learn and to challenge with a heart of joy and love. At 21 years old, he became a pastor of a Mennonite church. This would begin a long and winding road with stops as a husband, a father, in the Methodist church, as head of probation, and back into the pastor’s chair in a couple of unaffiliated contexts. He still speaks every Sunday to a community of folks. I’ve had the good fortune to have many one-on-one conversations with him through the years, and after a scary fall he took, I realized the time was now to capture some of our dialogue. Making It Work Radio

    by

    Since Nov 1, 2017 00:00 UTC

INTENTION OF THE SHOW – Making It Work, a weekly podcast show, hopes to connect us to why we want to live in this awesome area and how we place our unique stamp on it. San Francisco is the fourth most expensive city to live in the US according to CBS Marketwatch, and cost of living in the city is about the same as living in Paris, France. The average cost of renting in SF is $2925 monthly and it looks like the price is steadily rising. We have all seen the flyers around the area and social media posts speaking about the outrageous cost for having a roof over our heads and what there is to do about it. We thought it would be cool to listen to how people make it work and better yet – WHY? There is a different guest featured each week, and each one brings their own special story.

F_PODCAST talks about architecture, feminisms, intersectionality. We visit non-conforming spatial practitioners–architects and artists–who are exploring spatial methods to create more equitable spaces. In their workplaces we talk about their ways of working, we learn about individual backgrounds, about networks and strategies. Let’s discuss whether these positions can help us to bring the diversity we see on the streets into architectural institutions and planning offices. Visit us on ______ fem-arc.net _____ F_PODCAST schafft Raum, um Architektur, Feminismus, Intersektionalität zu diskutieren.
