“Prehistoric Forest, Ghost Town, and other random objects of unusual size: They’re all classic slices of Americana, and all featured in Tony and Todd’s Roadside Attractions. These two guys work for ABC News in Toledo, Ohio and the job takes them to bizarre and quirky places. Most of the time, it doesn’t end up on the news … it ends up on the internet. What’s the story behind a giant Uncle Sam? Why would anyone Chew Mail Pouch? And will a giant cow ever get a new home? See what all the buzz is about!”

Life can feel like a game of dodgeball, always getting objects thrown at us. Amid tribulation I used to feel broken, but I’ve chosen to change the way I think. I am merely bruised because bruises heal. Instead of sitting in brokenness I decided to roll with the punches because as Christians we must always fight. Be bold and join me in positive thinking and drawing closer to Faith. Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/destini-jackson/support

The Eyes of the World was the Best Selling Book for 1914 according to Publisher’s Weekly. The novel explores what Harold Bell Wright views as the false world of artists, writers, critics, and their wealthy patrons. Two of the main characters are the famous author, Conrad LaGrange and Aaron King, an aspiring artist. LaGrange regretfully describes his writings as “filthy stories in good English” and feels he has sold his soul to become successful. While in California, recovering from a physical breakdown, he befriends Aaron King whose mother he knew when he was a boy. Lagrange serves as counselor to the young man, for he knows the pitfalls of success from his own experience. (Summary by Tom Weiss)
