A mom and daughter tackle generational issues in the workplace with wit and wisdom.
A podcast to connect people, to inspire, encourage and empower you to live your truth, find strength and hope as you listen to people like you sharing their path and journey. We all share the same feelings, go through ups and downs, go through phases of self doubt, feel sad, defeated, depressed or have little self-worth. I want to create a space for you to be heard, to be seen, for us to come together, laugh, cry, build a community, make new friends, show empathy and support for one another. We are all in this together.

Julian of Norwich (c. November 8, 1342 â c. 1416) is considered to be one of the greatest English mystics. Little is known of her life aside from her writings. Even her name is uncertain, the name âJulianâ coming from the Church of St Julian in Norwich, where she occupied a cell adjoining the church as an anchoress. At the age of thirty, suffering from a severe illness and believing she was on her deathbed, Julian had a series of intense visions. (They ended by the time she overcame her illness on May 13, 1373). These visions would twenty years later be the source of her major work, called Sixteen Revelations of Divine Love (circa 1393). This is believed to be the first book written by a woman in the English language. Julian became well known throughout England as a spiritual authority.

The practice of being present, delivered to you every other day. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, you’ll get a dose of inspiration in the form of an affirmative prayer by Jane Roberts, covering a variety of themes such as oneness, gratitude, abundance, creativity, love, and more. The purpose of these affirmative prayers is not to get something or to make something outside ourselves happen. And itâs not about asking for things or praying to a power in the sky, Instead, itâs about raising our consciousness, our vibrational energy and our receptivity to all that is. At a core level, itâs about raising our levels of awareness. Marge Piercy To Be of Use ———— The people I love the best jump into work head first without dallying in the shallows and swim off with sure strokes almost out of sight. They seem to become natives of that element, the black sleek heads of seals bouncing like half-submerged balls. I love people who harness themselves, an ox to a heavy cart, who pull like water buffalo, with massive patience, who strain in the mud and the muck to move things forward, who do what has to be done, again and again. I want to be with people who submerge in the task, who go into the fields to harvest and work in a row and pass the bags along, who are not parlor generals and field deserters but move in a common rhythm when the food must come in or the fire be put out. The work of the world is common as mud. Botched, it smears the hands, crumbles to dust. But the thing worth doing well done has a shape that satisfies, clean and evident. Greek amphoras for wine or oil, Hopi vases that held corn, are put in museums but you know they were made to be used. The pitcher cries for water to carry and a person for work that is real.
