How To Get A Job Promotion?

How To Get A Job Promotion?

    by

    Since Jul 22, 2021 07:12 UTC

You work hard every day and you think the time has come for you to be promoted within the company. But when the opportunity comes, you don’t know how to bring up the subject in front of your direct superior to show that you are right. Here are several ways to show that you are ready for a promotion at work.

    1. Update your knowledge and skills

A promotion brings new responsibilities and greater challenges. To face these challenges you will need certain knowledge and skills. The best way to show that you are ready for a job promotion is to work on these knowledge and skills that you will need for your future role.

Once you have them, make it visible, either by improving your professional profile on the internet or by notifying your superior that you have a new certification or title.

    2. Bet on innovation

In companies, it is not only valued professionals who are capable of assuming the responsibilities of their position and getting the job done. Professionals who are able to offer points of view beyond the usual are highly valued. Leaving the comfort zone and betting on new ways of doing things adds extra value to your work and your abilities.

    3. Become a reliable player

One of the things any manager pays attention to when promoting members of her team is the ability to manage work effectively. In other words, you must become the person your superior trusts when it comes to managing complicated issues or putting out the odd fires. To do this, you must be proactive, very organized and make sure to always respond to important emails and calls.

    4. Make your work capacity come to light

While you wait for the long-awaited promotion to arrive, show that you are overqualified for your current job and that maintaining this position represents a stagnation in your professional career. Share it with your colleagues so they can support your position and ask for your help when they need to carry out other projects. This will help your direct superior to see your worth within the team and your ability to face new challenges in addition to the work that corresponds to you.

    The Honeypot History

    The Honeypot History

    by

    Since Sep 26, 2020 18:00 UTC

My Honeypot History Podcast will deep dive into my 31 years of life and my honeypot history, the good and bad in all of its detail. Specifically, After 12 years of dealing with several health issues including Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, Uterine Fibroids, Ovarian cysts, and 500+ days of bleeding consistently – I underwent two surgeries that ultimately ended in a radical hysterectomy and removal of my left ovary. Between the physical health issues; my mental health also took a negative turn and I developed some intense depression and anxiety. I lost my spark, my joy, my passion in life. I am happy to say. I am nearly a year post-op and the happiest and healthiest I have ever felt. Through a lot of therapy, a loving supportive husband, and close family members, I was able to get to know my true self and discover my smile again. Join along to talk vagina, infertility, hysterectomy, endometriosis, and my journey of becoming a happier person. Come along and listen to the journeys of fellow warriors, learn the symptoms, learn to heal, learn to talk it out with some humor, some tears, and a whole lot of moral support.

    The Way-Back Music Machine Podcast

    by

    Since Mar 15, 2021 00:25 UTC

It’s road trip time! Join Tony Stuart and Aaron Badgley as they cruise the rock and roll highway taking a look at the week that was in rock history. Great stories, lots of laughs and an all-around good time…Hop in the back and join us in The Way-Back Music Machine!

Well, ring out the old and ring in the new.

It is a new year, and a new look for The Way-Back Music Machine. We have reached episode 82!

This year, we thought we would do something a little different.

We will be going through the Week That Was day by day, starting on Sunday.

And, of course, since The Beatles feature prominently in our show and rock and roll history, there has to be an 8th day (“Eight Days A Week”, right?).

This week we explore Bill Haley and His Comets hit “Rock Around The Clock”, talk about South Park (yes, they had a hit), and a salute George Martin and Malcom Young, both of whom have birthdays this week. We also take a look at a poll in Liverpool in 1962, and talk about The Supremes. Finally, on the eighth day we look at a failed audition. Actually it is THE failed audition.

All that plus charts and great conversation between friends on Episode 82 of The Way-Back Music Machine.

Don’t forget to check out the Spotify playlist that goes with this episode!
