The podcast, entitled “Over 40 & Loving Every Minute of It” is a celebration of not only the many facets of this jewel of a human being, but also the world that awaits women and men when they turn 40 and progress beyond. My name is Lara Chicofsky, and my cohost is Nina Jobe. We created this podcast to shine a light on some of the lesser known characters and crimes in Boston and New England. We’ve spent the past two years researching the Boston crime scene primarily focusing on the 1960s. There are many podcasts and books available about organized crime in the Boston area, but ours is a bit different. I spent most of my life in my father’s world. Eavesdropping when I was a kid, listening intently when he was at the end of his life. I often took what he said with a grain of salt. He was, after all, a conman, an expert liar and an Academy Award worthy actor, but there was always a sliver of truth in his stories.

In rural South Africa there are thousands of people who receive little or no medical care. So what can be done for them? One answer is Phelophepa, the Good Health Train, which makes a circuit of the country every two years. This album joins the team of doctors, medical students and health workers on the train as they visit the town of Taba Nchu. In the weeks before Phelophepa arrives, community activists try to raise public awareness so that as many people as possible are able to benefit. And because need invariably outstrips availability, there is a lot of emphasis on education. This material was originally made for The Open University course U205 Health and disease.

Join the eclectic, timid, and awkward Nathan Blaine as he is forced by his government to become a local radio show host. One problem though, he doesn’t have any experience. Also, he’s not great with people. Oh, and he lives in a dystopian future with a dictator for a “President”.
Hop into this original narrative as it expands, going deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole. Laugh as Nathan learns how to suddenly be in the spotlight like he never has before. Be on the edge of your seat as you learn about this new world and all of its intricacies and oddities. Each episode will pull you in, making it hard to wait for the next.
Any and all listeners to the show are more than welcome to email us announcements, public shamings, questions, and we’ll let you know when we’ll use them on the show. You can get in contact with us at FPEBroadcast@gmail.com.

Grant A. Clark, the head writer and voice of Nathan along with co-writer, Vinny Nerone, will be releasing a new episode of the podcast every other Friday. Enjoy the podcast, and don’t forget to tune in!
