    The Age of Atheism

    by

    Since Oct 9, 2021 00:27 UTC

Religion is one of the most central and interesting aspect of the human experience, yet we are living in an unprecedented era where people are becoming less and less religious. In other words, atheism and agnosticism is becoming increasing prevalent, especially among younger generations. During this era, religious literacy is also low since most people never get a chance to learn about them in schools. As one witnesses the polarization of politics and global conflicts, it is now more important than ever for us to be educated about the religions of the world and the role they play in society.

CONSISTENT CHRISTIAN LIVING A believer is a pilgrim who is on a journey to the land of glory. When someone comes to know the Lord at salvation, he has only begun a life long journey of living the Christian life. What matters is not how or when one begins the Christian life, but much more, is how one continues consistently and ends it. Some people may begin well and may not end well. Stories to Read, Words to Know, Level J

Stories to Read, Words to Know, Level J

    by

    Since Aug 1, 2007 19:00 UTC

Stories to Read, Words to Know, Level J contains 12 meaningful stories that connect to students’ lives. Students are engaged by the charming illustrations and encouraged by the simple stories that help them build confidence while they increase their English vocabulary. The Stories to Read, Words to Know audio component contains two types of readings: 1) a Read Along and 2) an Echo Reading. Learners listen to the Read Along and follow along silently in their books. The Read Along, read by a skilled adult reader, models pronunciation and intonation and guides learners through the story with a bell that indicates when to turn the page. The Echo Reading is read by a skilled adult reader one sentence, phrase, or paragraph at a time and is echoed by student readers. The learner joins in echoing in unison with the student readers. Participating in an Echo Reading helps learners to gain confidence while reading aloud, supports them in reading material that may be too difficult to read independently, and provides practice with proper phrasing and expression.
