The Build in progress podcast is hosted by Simon Frewin and Ross Downs. Our intention is to put together a not too serious yet helpful insight into property investment, business and entrepreneurship. We’ll bring a mix of top tips, friendly guests, the ups and the downs in our lives. We’re learning on the job about both podcasts and property which is the reason we called it ‘build in progress’. No one is the full package (especially us) and we are all working progress, we’ll be showing our progression through the podcast.

We are all in the hands of the judiciary to decide if we are innocent or guilty… Right? Well, that isn’t always true. Ever imagined how does a sentence given to you by society feels like. Let’s talk real. Hello, all I am Nilam, as we step into 2022, a year I had been waiting for the last 6 years to speak about the things, I would never want anyone to go through. Yes, I am an ex-prisoner and my 48-month sentence ended in December 2021 but do I really feel free a question I haven’t stopped asking myself since then? Hosted by Mind Over Matters’ CEO, Luke McLean, each episode will dive into topics such as Self-care, happiness, mindfulness, relationships etc and will show you simple ways to get out of autopilot and live a happier and healthier life. Let’s take the power back! Jas Rawlinson is an Australian mental health empowerment speaker, book writing mentor, and best-selling author of the internationally renowned book series “Reasons to Live One More Day, Every Day”. As a survivor of family violence and sexual assault, Jas understands deeply the barriers that often hold people back from living life to the fullest, and is passionate about empowering others to use their past adversities as stepping stones to a brighter future. In 2016, inspired by her own background with family violence, she co-founded Brisbane’s first permanent memorial for domestic violence victims and their families. Highly regarded for her sensitivity when reporting on taboo topics, Jas is often requested to speak on social justice issues such as suicide prevention, mental wellbeing, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Endorsed by high-profile names including Kevin Hines, Professor Patrick McGorry, and Royal Flying Doctors QLD, she has been featured across various media such as ABC News, Authority Magazine, Non-Fiction Authors Association, NZ Herald, and News.com.au. In this episode Jas & Luke talk about her personal journey of rising from a suicidal teen victim of family violence, to a bestselling author, mental health speaker, mum and wife, how she thrives as a highly sensitive and anxious person, as well as how she overcame PTSD, how to goal set and self-care despite struggling with anxiety (including the power of gratitude journaling and ‘brain dumping’) and powerful stories of triumph over adversity from her book series ‘Reasons to Live’ (featuring global influencers like L-FRESH The LION and Kevin Hines, as well as everyday Aussies). Rhamuel and the last of his family, Abranyah, travel their barren world, shack to shack, selling tinctures to keep a full belly and evading the dogmatists to keep their throats safe. Time has turned funny after The Whatever, an apocalyptic event that few remember and even fewer can explain, danger now as commonplace as the unrecognizable relics of war, and the madman Aphulan—along with an iron rule over his small township—may hold the answers. With a cure for The Sick and a passion to uncover what happened to their world, Rhamuel and Abranyah set off on a journey to the “other place,” the days before The Whatever, and ready themselves for a glimpse into what happened, and what was always meant to happen next.
The shiny black motor flew across the barren, and vengeance followed.
