    Inception Lab

    by

    Since Mar 20, 2014 18:55 UTC

We believe that there comes a point in everyone’s life where they get to make the decision to follow the course of society and accept its values and rules or start being crazy enough, passionate, almost insane enough, to push the limits just to make them push back. This show is not a digest of training principles, spit at you to catch you up to date in the world of coaching and athletics. Instead it’s about being exposed, being wrong, always learning, exploring the deepest jungles of sport and brain alike, sacred cows & taboo insights… This is a show for your brain, which is tired of being left to the mundane humanity of TV shows and Dinner parties. It wants to be challenged, to be tested, and we are the lab to do it in.

    Somebody Must Say These Things

    Somebody Must Say These Things

    by

    Since Oct 4, 2021 17:14 UTC

Somebody Must Say These Things is an 8-part series that fully investigates Violence Against Women in Nova Scotia. By speaking with survivors and the women who make it their mission to end the issue for good, this podcast casts a stark, unapologetic light on our society’s continued insufficient acknowledgement of Violence Against Women. We follow the stories of survivors and examine the critical, unappreciated role of transition houses. We also speak with the boots-on-the-ground workers who fight everyday to help women and children in need. Together, their insights offer a new, clear perspective on the current status of abuse and violence in the province of Nova Scotia and what we need to do to ensure a brighter tomorrow. Our hope is that by sharing their stories, you will become an advocate for change. This podcast was made possible by the Transition House Association of Nova Scotia. THANS exists to eliminate violence against women in Nova Scotia. Their organizations provide a full range of support services to women and their children in a safe, supportive environment and provide survivors of violence with opportunities to learn about available resources and alternatives to facilitate informed personal choices and decisions.” THANS is not 100% government funded by the provincial or federal government. This needs to change. Go to thans.ca to learn how you can help. This podcast is narrated by Grace McNutt. Produced by Podstarter.

    The Laughing Matters Podcast

    The Laughing Matters Podcast

    by

    Since Nov 28, 2020 08:56 UTC

At the start of 2010’s spring semester, APSU student, W.S. Walker walked out of his dorm room in the middle of a blizzard with only two blank books, and lived the next 44 days without any money or ID, going where the wind blew. Because of a single discovery, he stopped everything to walk out into the world, throwing wide open all of his defenses, and making himself completely vulnerable to anyone he met. And what was the discovery which caused this? The massive hidden secret behind what laughter is and why we find something funny.

Have you ever tried to explain why somethings are funny and somethings aren’t? Tune in to W. S. Walker’s The Laughing Matters, the ground-breaking book, read chapter by chapter by the author (and then all manner of advice, musings, and wisdoms after Season 1), and hang on as he sends you reeling through some of the most incredible discoveries on human behavior, why we don’t feel right so much of the time, and the core blueprint for the universal design of happiness; things hidden in plain sight your entire life and answers that you never would have expected. The moment you hear them, you will understand that you’ve always known them.

The true motivations behind why we laugh will shock you to your core.

A fair bit of warning: once you hear some of the hidden truths, you cannot unhear them. They are night and day obvious once you know which angle to see them from.

This is an advanced edition. The book has not been publicly released yet. If you want a much better understanding of who you are, why you don’t feel important, where so much of your internal conflict (at a base-level) comes from, come on in and have a listen.

I’ve got some good news, and some bad news for you.
