Join Pam Drucker Mann, Global Chief Revenue Officer of Conde Nast, in a special series that tackles some of the most pressing (and provocative) issues we face as a society — and how the media at large can affect, shape and bring about change. In an ever changing media landscape – this is a podcast that ponders the role that the media could or should play in these challenging and chaotic times. Are we both progressing and regressing? Are there always such divergent ups and downs on the path forward? Our guests will touch on a breadth of topics to help diagnose both lessons and strategies as we question our shared future. These are big names making bold statements about pivotal topics. But don’t worry – we’re not taking ourselves too seriously.

Four short stories by Mary Hallock Foote (1847–1938), an American author and illustrator. She is best known for her illustrated short stories and novels portraying life in the mining communities of the turn-of-the-century American West. She is famous for her stories of place, in which she portrayed the rough, picturesque life she experienced and observed in the old West, especially that in the early mining towns. She wrote several novels, and illustrated stories and novels by other authors for various publishers. She died at age 90. Her legacy in American history is as a stalwart of the American Old West and a teller of its stories. Her work—the numerous stories for books and periodicals, with her drawings and woodcut illustrations; the correspondence from western outposts; her novels and nonfiction—gained her notice as a skilled observer of the frontier (Summary by Wikipedia and David Wales)

This Woman’s Work is driven by 2 fundamental goals:
– To celebrate women and all they are capable of.
– To provide a unique career and lifestyle support service for anyone that needs it.
This Woman’s Work celebrates women in work; and in doing so, aims to provide a helpful, practical and (hopefully) inspirational career and life support service for anyone that needs it.
At its core is an interview based podcast, that sees us chat to AMAZING women about their jobs. We’ll hear about their unique career and life paths and as we do, get real-world advice about the role and the success criteria for it. The hope being that whether someone is unsure about a next career move, and/or returning to work after a break (i.e. mums trying to return to work); or even if someone is simply walking a dog or exercising, and would enjoy hearing about some amazing women, then TWW has them covered.
The chats will cover a broad spectrum of jobs, over a spectrum of levels, to offer as many options, for as many people as possible; however, ideally the roles will have an interesting twist, sometimes even a bizarre twist, to inspire and ignite interest that might otherwise have gone unknown or ignored.
But perhaps most importantly, we’re going to build, with your help, one heck of a community support network, so that you can all help and support – and celebrate – each other.
Thanks for your support.
