Our shows are based in the roots of jazz, funk and soul but still encourage an eclectic, forward thinking mix of whatever is moving our friends at the time. As always, HVW8 also looks to combine music and art into one experience. Images are included with each episode.

Another amazing opening at the HVW8 Gallery in Los Angeles, Ca.

Bronx-born photographer and filmmaker Lisa Leone came of age in the 1980s with hip-hop and a camera. Her candid portraits capture iconic hip-hop artists at the early stages of their careers including Snoop Dogg, Lauryn Hill, Mary J. Blige and A Tribe Called Quest.

We were lucky to have DJ Jermey Sole bring some of this music to the opening night. We just hit record …. and here are the results.
