Published posthumously in 1919, this collection of diary entries presents a scathing picture of army life and is said to be one of the most vivid accounts of daily life in the trenches. It chronicles West’s increasing disillusion with war and his move toward pacifist and atheist beliefs. The final part consists of his powerful war poems, including God, How I Hate You, You Young Cheerful Men, and Night Patrol. West was killed by a sniper in 1917. A medical doctor by professional training, Dr Zakir Naik is renowned as a dynamic international orator on Islam and Comparative Religion. He is the president of Islamic Research Foundation, Mumbai. Dr Zakir clarifies Islamic viewpoints and clears misconceptions about Islam, using the Quran, authentic Hadith and other religious Scriptures as a basis, in conjunction with reason, logic and scientific facts. He is popular for his critical analysis and convincing answers to challenging questions posed by audiences after his public talks. Naik says that his goal is to “concentrate on the educated Muslim youth who have become apologetic about their own religion and have started to feel the religion is outdated”.[54] He considers it a duty of every Muslim to remove perceived misconceptions about Islam and to counter what he views as the Western media’s anti-Islamic bias in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States.[82] Naik has said that “despite the strident anti-Islam campaign, 34,000 Americans have embraced Islam from September 2001 to July 2002”. Erasing AB-PA is a forum to speak to professionals from the legal and psychological community along with targeted parents of Attachment Based Parental Alienation (AB-PA) to better understand and cope with AB-PA.

Parental Alienation is when one parent, typically the parent with majority custody, attempts to separate the children from the other parent as punishment for a divorce or separation. These parental alienation techniques include attacking the other parent’s character or lifestyle, ignoring the positive influence the other parent has on the children or endearing themselves to the child in order for the child to choose them over the other parent. Numerous techniques and tools are utilized by the alienating parent.

We plan to use this podcast as a means to bring together those affected by Attachment Based Parental Alienation to bring awareness to the problem. The goal is to change the family court system to recognize that AB-PA exists and is a huge problem that affects millions of children, parents and extended families.

I seek the profound in the overlooked. I seek the marvelous in the everyday. I’m often fascinated by the way sunlight dances on the Anacostia River from the 11 street bridge and often over whelmed by the beauty of a lost piece of art on a forgotten corner in a rarely visited neighborhood. I am consistently amazed by the lives of everyday people and enriched by the stories they so openly share with me. I firmly believe that the ability to wonder and be amazed is a muscle that will wilt if left unused. It seems to me that life becomes dull and meaningless without wonder and amazement. More than anything, I want this project, this website, to be a personal exercise regiment for my ability to wonder and inspiration for others to allow the everyday to amaze them. The unexamined life is not worth living, not because introspection produces happiness but because careful observation ensures that we will not miss the beauty of the trees for the Forrest.

The Four Feathers is a 1902 adventure novel by British writer A.E.W. Mason that has inspired many films of the same title. The novel tells the story of British officer, Harry Feversham, who resigns his commission in the East Surrey Regiment just prior to Sir Garnet Wolseley’s 1882 expedition to Egypt to suppress the rising of Urabi Pasha. He is faced with censure from three of his comrades for cowardice, signified by the delivery of three white feathers to him, from Captain Trench and Lieutenants Castleton and Willoughby, and the loss of the support of his Irish fiancée, Ethne Eustace, who presents him with the fourth feather.
