    The Lounge at the CWE

    by

    Since Aug 18, 2020 15:58 UTC

Living rooms have always been transformative spaces for feminist consciousness-raising, organizing, and community building. Our lounge at the Center for Women at Emory (CWE) is no different. In fact, this where the true magic of the CWE happens. It’s a judgment-free zone where women come to make new friends, have intergenerational conversations, and expand their views. We’re excited to bring you this experience virtually on our new weekly podcast featuring the professional and student staff of the CWE. These are the views of the individuals that work at the CWE, not Emory University.

How To Be Jewish In 30 Seconds

How To Be Jewish In 30 Seconds

    by

    Since Mar 28, 2023 13:00 UTC

You can be Jewish in 30 seconds or less. Many of my colleagues Jewish and non-Jewish present their religions as an all or nothing insurmountable mountains of material. So, naturally, nearly everyone is going to shy away from it. It’s like sailing. If you learn some of the basics, you can sail a boat. You are not going to be in the America’s Cup or sail around the world, but you’ll love it anyway. I think a disservice has been done to Judaism, by always presenting all or nothing and telling people what they can and cannot do, and you have to give up this and that. The only thing that that results in is people walking away. But it doesn’t have to be that way. You can be Jewish in 30 seconds a week by picking a Jewish activity and make it part of your practice .

Overcoming Low Self-Esteem with Tempestt S. Smith

    by

    Since Dec 13, 2017 06:50 UTC

Overcoming Low Self-Esteem is the most beneficial podcast on self-esteem that has ever been produced, and is led by Tempestt S. Smith. This podcast is filled with tears, laughter, joy, and therapy. As a child, you didn’t come into this world with low self-esteem, you had to be taught it. Your thoughts are not completely your own; therefore, you are currently living a reality that was created by you, but not necessarily for you. The life where you’ve surrendered fully to an unhealthy self-esteem is literally killing you on purpose, without purpose. The time for greatness, YOUR greatness, is now.
