    Cocktails over Coffee

    Cocktails over Coffee

    by

    Since Jan 2, 2020 22:00 UTC

We drink our coffee to wake us up and get us through our 9-5. Though it can be for pleasure, coffee is usually a means of survival. At the end of the day, we drink our cocktails to unwind, to relax, to socialize, to celebrate. In fact, we’re often sipping a cocktail while we’re working on our sacred passion projects in the evening. People are sacrificing their happiness by staying in jobs that make them miserable because they are too afraid to let go of their paycheck or security blanket and do the hard work. But what happens when you choose your cocktail over your coffee? In other words, we’re talking about choosing your passion over your paycheck. Cocktails over Coffee is hosted by Jenae Green (@jenaedestiny on Instagram), a former New York City fashion executive who left her corporate job in luxury fashion and moved to Paris. There she taught a self-built Event Planning course at the International Fashion Academy Paris, followed by months of travel throughout Europe. Upon her return to the city, in addition to pursuing her life as a consultant, she wanted to find a way to inspire others to take the leap to happiness and alas, Cocktails over Coffee was born. Each episode will feature happy hour with a special guest that has taken their own personal life leap into a self-built career or lifestyle of their dreams. podcast – Happy, Joyous, and Freaking Out

podcast – Happy, Joyous, and Freaking Out

    Since Jan 13, 2015 10:00 UTC

This podcast attempts to get at the daily struggle of fulfilling the order to be “happy, joyous, and free.” What can we do when our thoughts betray and disempower us? What options do we have when are trapped by misery of our own making? What happens when things don’t go the way you want or expect them to? By sharing my own experiences, and inviting others to share theirs, we can discover new ways of thinking and being, and hold ourselves accountable for the next time happiness, joy, and freedom seem like a distant memory or an unattainable goal.

The Borgias After Show recaps, reviews and discusses episodes of Showtime’s The Borgias. Show Summary: The Borgias, led by patriarch Rodrigo, are a family of outsiders from Spain who try to take over control of Renaissance-era Italy. Through the use of bribery, extortion and torture, Rodrigo rises up the ranks to become pope. Two of Rodrigo’s children are used as pawns by being married off to members of rival families at a young age. Vanozza, Rodrigo’s long-time mistress and mother of his children, and Giulia Farnese battle for the elder Borgia’s affections. The story of the Borgias has inspired such works as Machiavelli’s political treatise “The Prince” and Mario Puzo’s “The Godfather.”
