Brett, started his journey as an online fraudster, creating the first darknet forum for buying & selling credit cards and was responsible for creating the criminal enterprise that commits identity theft, credit card fraud and many other online scams. But, after landing on the Secret Service’s Most Wanted List and serving his time, he’s been reformed and now dedicated his career to helping consumers and online companies prevent fraud from people he used to be.

On today’s episode of Mouth-Off I will be interviewing film programmer and curator YVONNE CONNIKIE. Yvonne’s background is in ethnography, and she is also a PHD candidate at the University of South Wales, exploring Leisure Activities of the Windrush Caribbeans in Butetown Cardiff. She draws on her own life experiences with race, film, and the culture in her work. Yvonne was the founder of the BLACK FILM FESTIVAL WALES and is a founding member and chair of the NEW BLACK FILM COLLECTIVE. She is also the Assistant Curator for Black London Film Heritage.

Recognizing this gap, Expanding the Outdoors seeks to amplify LGTBQIA2+ voices in all things outdoors. During each session, we chat with different people to understand how they like to spend time outside, what barriers they face accessing the outdoors, times they have thrived, times they have faced oppression, and much more. We are dedicated to showcasing folks all across the outdoor spectrum to help pull the definition of an outdoorsy person away from its stereotype of a white, cis/het, hyper-masculine male. This podcast also takes an intersectional approach, as we recognize that folks hold multiple identities.
