    by

    Since Apr 23, 2020 20:14 UTC

Going wherever God takes him, Nathan continues to share his thoughts and experiences, among other things, on the journey. In silence and few words, ingrained in topics, the discovery of the child he once was and the search of peace and joy and other dimensions persist. Relating with the world a storyteller, the exploration in content and the immersive audio environment with mediums like raw thoughts and produced storytelling continues throughout episodes. With ideas from above, he hopes to feed the soul. Hoping that in the process, whoever listens, some value may be given to them and connections formed. Welcome to the podcast…

    Making Connections

    Making Connections

    by

    Since Jun 9, 2021 14:02 UTC

We believe that the process of Truth and Reconciliation requires direct regular contact between the peoples who truly own Canada – our indigenous brothers and sisters – and the rest of us guests in this country. Making Connections reflects on the impact of our youth programs in remote indigenous communities and how we can build on these interactions by our younger generation in order to build a more equitable future for all Canadians. It is mostly a non-indigenous perspective as we look to involve indigenous youth, adults, and elders to help us continue to understand how we can all reach that ultimate goal to real Truth and Reconciliation.

Antiquities of the Jews, Volume 3, The by JOSEPHUS, Flavius

    by

    Since Jan 1, 1970 00:00 UTC

Antiquities of the Jews was a work published by the important Jewish historian Flavius Josephus about the year 93 or 94. Antiquities of the Jews is a history of the Jewish people, written in Greek for Josephus’ gentile patrons. Beginning with the creation of Adam and Eve, it follows the events of the historical books of the Hebrew Bible, but sometimes omits or adds information. (Summary by Wikipedia) Volume 3 contains Books 11-15; it begins with the return of the Babylonian exiles under Cyrus, king of Persia and ends with King Herod rebuilding the temple (c. 559 BC – 20 BC).

    MCMP – Epistemology

    MCMP – Epistemology

    by

    Since Oct 10, 2013 18:53 UTC

Mathematical Philosophy – the application of logical and mathematical methods in philosophy – is about to experience a tremendous boom in various areas of philosophy. At the new Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy, which is funded mostly by the German Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, philosophical research will be carried out mathematically, that is, by means of methods that are very close to those used by the scientists. The purpose of doing philosophy in this way is not to reduce philosophy to mathematics or to natural science in any sense; rather mathematics is applied in order to derive philosophical conclusions from philosophical assumptions, just as in physics mathematical methods are used to derive physical predictions from physical laws. Nor is the idea of mathematical philosophy to dismiss any of the ancient questions of philosophy as irrelevant or senseless: although modern mathematical philosophy owes a lot to the heritage of the Vienna and Berlin Circles of Logical Empiricism, unlike the Logical Empiricists most mathematical philosophers today are driven by the same traditional questions about truth, knowledge, rationality, the nature of objects, morality, and the like, which were driving the classical philosophers, and no area of traditional philosophy is taken to be intrinsically misguided or confused anymore. It is just that some of the traditional questions of philosophy can be made much clearer and much more precise in logical-mathematical terms, for some of these questions answers can be given by means of mathematical proofs or models, and on this basis new and more concrete philosophical questions emerge. This may then lead to philosophical progress, and ultimately that is the goal of the Center.

One Day In One Year with Jerry Won

One Day In One Year with Jerry Won

    by

    Since Jan 1, 2020 09:00 UTC

One Day In One Year with Jerry Won is a podcast based on the simple idea that we each can invest one day out of a year to be grateful, share life lessons, and give back. We start by changing our perspective on how we define one day. We’ll define “one day” not as a consecutive 24 hour period, but rather, as those same 24 hours divided across the 366 days of 2020 (luckily for us it’s a leap year!). That comes to roughly 3 minutes and 56 seconds per day. I ask you to come join us as we spend 3 minutes and 56 seconds together each day in 2020. You’ll learn from your fellow humans on what they’re grateful for, their greatest life lesson, and the causes they care about deeply.

    The F Word at Work

    by

    Since Oct 23, 2022 07:00 UTC

The F Word at Work from Fertility Matters at Work is a conversation for busy HR, D&I and wellbeing leads with the aim to open your minds to the vast topic of fertility at work and why it really matters for employees and businesses too. We know that more sensitive and taboo topics can instill the fear of getting the conversation wrong, or not knowing where to start, so by sharing a range of diverse conversations from our community about their own family building struggles and how it has affected their everyday working life, we hope you’ll understand what support people need. You’ll also hear examples of best practice from trail-blazing organisations already doing amazing work to support their people and we’ll also be sharing insights from thought-leaders in the workplace wellbeing space about the work already being done, the impact it is having and the possibilities that lie ahead to help make workplaces better, more engaging places to work, attractors and retainers of talent, all within a psychologically safe environment free from stigma and taboo.
