Turns out children arrive with no manual. There’s no coherent online tutorial. Between staying up to date with emerging technologies and balancing work and home life in an industry that often requires un-timeable bug fixes, on call schedules, and more, working parents are balancing a lot. Parents are also exploring additional technical issues like “screen time” or internet privacy, coming at these issues from a different perspective as technologists ourselves. We cover all of these topics and more using a panel of parents coming from diverse perspectives and a variety of technological backgrounds. We’ll shine light onto these issues and provide a valuable food for thought for these folks. Want to ask a question that the panelists can discuss in an episode? Email us at panel@parentdrivendevelopment.com. And if you’re loving the podcast and want to support us, please visit our Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/parentdrivendev)!

The Civil War was the most important event in American history. That’s because it decided what kind of nation America would be and whether or not the promise of universal liberty would be fulfilled. And what decided the outcome of the Civil War was its battles.
Hosted by history professors James Early and Scott Rank, this podcast explores the ten most important battles in the Civil War. It features every major conflict, from the initial shots fired at the Battle of First Bull Run to the end of the war at Appomattox Court House. Key battles include Shiloh, the Seven Days Battle, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Vicksburg, Chickamauga & Chattanooga, and the Overland Campaign. James and Scott explore additional topics such as emancipation, the naval wars of the Civil War, and weapons technology. Plus they get deep into the biographical backgrounds of the Union and Confederate generals (Grant, Sherman, McClellan, Thomas, Lee, Jackson, Beauregard, and Longstreet).

My pseudonym is Dexter O’Reilly — yes, the same Dexter from the Cartoon Network show! I could tell you my real name but, to be honest, that serves no purpose. I call my show “Dexter’s Laboratory” because I’m the kind of person that loves to tinker with tech, learn new skills (and things!), and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. Naturally, that led to me wanting to start a social media presence based around all-things tech. This text is the beginning of that presence and your first introduction to the Laboratory. Visit my Medium at: https://dexterslaboratory.medium.com for more content. DEXTER’S LABORATORY AND ALL RELATED CHARACTERS AND ELEMENTS ARE TRADEMARKS OF CARTOON NETWORK (C) 2020* *If Cartoon Network wishes to request a change or removal of copyrighted material, I would be happy to. Until then, it is what it is.
