Things That Make You Go Huh?

Things That Make You Go Huh?

    by

    Since Jul 6, 2017 00:00 UTC

Let’s face it: science can be hard. Our host, Brett Hellman, former soap opera producer and current AbbVie employee, lacks any sort of scientific background and has recurring nightmares of his high school biology class. Now, he is tasked with talking to biopharmaceutical researchers about their work and translating it for the rest of us. In each episode, Brett will explore some of the toughest and most relevant topics in medical science. This may be, at times, an exercise in frustration for the scientist being interviewed, but listeners will be rewarded with a new understanding not only of science, but about the scientific community at large – with all pretenses stripped down.

    Merchants of Change

    Merchants of Change

    by

    Since Aug 8, 2022 18:48 UTC

Merchants of Change is a podcast focused on athletes and veterans in sales, transitioning from competitive athletics and military careers to the working world, and advice for your first sales job. Guests will include former professional athletes, veterans, Olympians, and elite college athletes who have gone on to incredible success in sales as individual contributors and sales leaders. The name “Merchants of Change” is a nod to Jim McInerny, one of JR’s earliest mentors in sales. Jim has mentored and been responsible for hundreds of people getting started and succeeding in sales. Being a “Merchant of Change” has been one of Jim’s cornerstone mantras for his whole career and something that JR has carried with him since seeing the phrase displayed in Jim’s office.

    Angle Free IT

    Angle Free IT

    by

    Since Mar 13, 2018 06:22 UTC

Have you ever wondered how Senior Level Technology Workers and Ultra High Performers got to where they are at? So did I, so I started asking them on my podcast Angle Free IT. On the show, we ask questions of the super-ninjas and fearless thought leaders throughout tech. We ask them to share their career wins and fails to learn from their experiences. We tackle issues within tech and mystical questions such as -Why is it you need experience but can’t get experience without getting a job ?! Why did my college train me on crappy tools that no one uses anymore?
Why haven’t I gotten a raise in the last two years?
What does it take to be a senior leader in my field?
How the heck do I get out of on-call hell?
How do you not suck in a 1 on 1 interview?
How do you not suck in a group interview?

Some of the people we’ve interviewed include guests such as:
    Engineers with multiple CCIE’s.
Tech branding consultants who share skills to increase your net worth online.
    CIO/CTO/CISO’s of major corporations.
Staff and Senior Consultants at companies such as VMware, Cisco, HP, Meraki.
Directors of IT and Security at various size companies.
Trainers of highly demanded skills (security, devops, automation, etc).
Ultra-High-Level Recruiters (the folks who place 150k+ jobs ONLY).
    VP’s in cutting-edge technology.
