You have passions in your life that drive you. That fuel your dreams. Maybe you know exactly what they are. Or maybe you haven’t found them yet. Wherever you are in your journey through life, this podcast aims to uncover your passions and help you live the purpose for which you were intended. Join me, Josh Aul, on this journey as I talk to many different people from all walks of life. Young and old, men and women, traditional and creative. Hear from business owners, artists, teachers, nurses and doctors, musicians, athletes, and more. Find out how people discovered their passion – and how they used their passion to live their dreams. Fears and doubts hold each and every one of us back to some extent, but those who conquer and push through reap the benefits of living a life fueled by the fire that burns deep within. The only question is, are you ready to live your fire? I strongly believe that many people in society today – whether they be high schoolers looking ahead to graduation and the working world beyond, or middle-aged adults who’ve been working for years – are not encouraged to follow their dreams. Sure, “follow your dreams” sounds cliche, but there’s more to it than that. Your dreams are messages indicating that you’re tapping into your true purpose. Your dreams are glimpses into the destiny you’ve been designed to follow. So let’s talk about those dreams! Let’s talk about your passions. What gets the fire burning in your gut at 2:00AM that nothing else could?

A six part mockumentary series. The show follows the trials and tribulations of six ordinary Dubliners, as they navigate recession Ireland. The show addresses themes like unemployment, changing sexual politics, ethnic and class identity and social isolation. Each episode focused on one individual, a fictionalised representative of a real contemporary Dublin community. Like Joyce’s famous short story collection, these naturalistic depictions of contemporary Dublin life attempt to capture the citizens of Dublin at a time of radical change. The show was recorded entirely on location, in a subtly comedic, low-key, fly on the wall style. The characters stories subtly intertwine, and gradually a picture emerges of a contemporary Dublin whose hopeful veneer hides a profound sense of alienation. The series dealt with characters from different ethnic and social groups, and varied income brackets; depicting the trials and tribulations of life in contemporary Ireland, emotionally as well as financially.

My name is Lara Chicofsky, and my cohost is Nina Jobe. We created this podcast to shine a light on some of the lesser known characters and crimes in Boston and New England. We’ve spent the past two years researching the Boston crime scene primarily focusing on the 1960s. There are many podcasts and books available about organized crime in the Boston area, but ours is a bit different. I spent most of my life in my father’s world. Eavesdropping when I was a kid, listening intently when he was at the end of his life. I often took what he said with a grain of salt. He was, after all, a conman, an expert liar and an Academy Award worthy actor, but there was always a sliver of truth in his stories.

Society has told us from the day we were born that we are not enough. But who decides what Society’s opinion of enough is? In this podcast we will discuss how we have allowed Society to dictate to us who we should be, what we should be allowed or not allowed to achieve, and what is “normal”. We will also give you tips on how to make your life your own with no fear and no judgement!
