Since we were born, the world has told us that there’s only one right way to have a body. And if you don’t have that body, you’re not good enough, you’re not pretty, you’re not smart, you’re not healthy — and we’re calling B.S.!! Our names are Stef Streb and Jules Ohlemacher, and we invite you to come talk all things body with us in The Babesment! We believe everyone — EVERYONE — should feel at home, confident, and comfortable in their bodies. Too many of us have been living lives that are too darn small for too long. You are worthy of whatever life you want, regardless of what your body looks like, and we want to empower you to live your biggest life with your whole heart starting RIGHT. NOW. You deserve it.

    Since Feb 9, 2021 00:20 UTC

The Higher Ed Marketer is centered around marketing professionals in the field of higher education. If you’re looking for real, practical advice on how to level up your marketing game, this is the show for you. Each episode features conversations with some of the best and brightest marketing minds in higher education, discussing the future of marketing, new technologies, and so much more.

How much should colleges and universities lean on legacy branding? Advancement departments undoubtedly love promoting the “glory days” to their school alums, but should legacy be a major factor in your enrollment marketing strategy?

In the late 1970s, Indiana State University produced one of the most famous basketball players in NCAA and NBA history – Larry Bird. Jason Trainer, Vice Provost for Enrollment Management at ISU, shares how their school balances academic and athletic branding while giving students just the right dose of historical perspective.

    Join us as we discuss:

Aligning marketing strategy with your institution’s vision (3:54)

Navigating school athletics history in enrollment marketing (13:18)

Finding overlapping themes that excite your school’s stakeholders (23:07)

    Let Them Hunt Vampires

    Let Them Hunt Vampires

    by

    Since Aug 2, 2022 00:01 UTC

“I have nothing against witchers. Let them hunt vampires. As long as they pay taxes.” All things fantasy, science fiction, and romance.

Tolkien is known for his humble heroes, the Hobbits of the Shire. Whenever a character in The Lord of the Rings gives into pride, destruction occurs. While Tolkien is obviously warning against the danger of pride and greed, two of the Seven Deadly Sins, the moral arguments of other fantasy novels are more opaque. In the first episode of Let Them Hunt Vampires, I’ll be analyzing hubris in Brandon Sanderson’s The Final Empire. How is his implicit moral argument similar and dissimilar to that of Tolkien’s? You’ll have to listen to find out!

The Lost Diaries of Elena Hoyos

The Lost Diaries of Elena Hoyos

    by

    Since Apr 1, 2019 12:00 UTC

The Mason Holdings Radio Hour, an intimate experiential podcast in the spirit of good old-fashioned radio, launches this spring with The Lost Diaries of Elena Hoyos. Mason Holdings’ latest show, Consumption, was inspired by the disturbing true story of Carl Von Cosel and Elena Hoyos. As part of the development of Consumption, we researched Elena’s story – reaching out to historians and scouring the few remaining bits and pieces that reveal anything of her brief life before Carl Von Cosel exhumed her corpse, posthumously married her, and installed her in his home. Our research revealed, of course, a very real girl and woman — not a grotesque spectacle, property of a delusional pseudo-scientist.In the interest of breathing life back into her memory, Mason Holdings is honored to share selections from The Lost Diaries of Elena Hoyos, starting in 1925, when she was still a healthy teenager, up until her death in 1931.Producer & Narrator: Tracy WellerProducer, Editor & Sound Design: Johann Schram ReedArtwork: Gary Springer – www.gary-springer.pixels.comGraphic Design: Johann Schram Reed
