Vocal Warm-ups and Workouts with David Valks Singing School

Vocal Warm-ups and Workouts with David Valks Singing School

    by

    Since Feb 24, 2021 07:42 UTC

A series of short vocal warm-ups and workouts for singers who want to exercise their voice. These can be your daily drills or you may want to dip in and out when your voice needs a bit of a workout. As well as the vocal warm-ups, there will also be specific exercises such as articulation, dynamics, vocal placement, breath control, connecting breath with sound etc. I always recommend that you have at least a few lessons with a singing teacher to ensure your technique is sound. A qualified singing teacher will give you advice on which exercises are best for your voice.

Shilpi and Mike met through Venture for America, a fellowship program that connects recent grads with startups and growth companies in low-cost cities. As fellows, they are attempting to learn the skills and tactics necessary to be successful entrepreneurs. After trading some insights during a 5 week training camp, they moved to their respective cities in the fall of 2013. Shilpi moved to Las Vegas to work for the Downtown Project, and Mike moved to Detroit to work for an internet company, BoostUp. While their situations were completely different, they both were a little in over their heads. They began chatting regularly about startups, technology, big problems, small problems, and what they were learning on the ground. These conversations allowed them to swap stories and experiences, but also led them to some new ideas — including the idea to start recording their conversations. While they often know little about the topics they’re discussing, it ends up being a lot fun and always spurs more learning. Join Shilpi & Mike for “In Over Their Heads”, a weekly talk show where Shilpi, Mike, and their guests discuss some things worth talking about. If you’re looking to listen to thoughts on technology, startups, or just two nerds and a cool guest discussing interesting topics, you should tune in. Diary of a Dead Officer, The by WEST, Arthur Graeme

Diary of a Dead Officer, The by WEST, Arthur Graeme

    by

    Since Jan 1, 1970 00:00 UTC

Published posthumously in 1919, this collection of diary entries presents a scathing picture of army life and is said to be one of the most vivid accounts of daily life in the trenches. It chronicles West’s increasing disillusion with war and his move toward pacifist and atheist beliefs. The final part consists of his powerful war poems, including God, How I Hate You, You Young Cheerful Men, and Night Patrol. West was killed by a sniper in 1917. In view of some of his poems, one wonders if death was not unwelcome. (Introduction adapted from Wikipedia by Ruth Golding)

    Chronicles of the End Times

    Chronicles of the End Times

    by

    Since Jul 5, 2013 04:00 UTC

Occasionally, I hear people say, are we really in the last days? How do we know? Does it really matter one way or another? We will try to answer these questions and many others in this study. But the most important question may be, how can we reach others with the message of hope in these changing times? One part of prophecy is often emphasized over another, causing us to lose perspective and miss the blessing and beauty of prophecy in scripture. I have taken the information in this study from many authors and teachers who have their lives studying God’s word. I have added some insight that the Holy Spirit taught me along the way. With God’s help, I have endeavored to keep the whole counsel of the word of God in full view to give us an accurate picture of Christ and His great love for a lost world. I pray that this will challenge you and cause you to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, as it has me preparing it. Let’s begin!
