We Are Not Too Young: How to Be a Light in Generation Z

    by

    Since Mar 8, 2021 16:43 UTC

What does it mean to live as children of light in a generation of darkness? This podcast will tackle modern topics and controversies, such as politics, philosophy, theology, worldview, and media. To have a voice that can influence our hurting generation, we must have a knowledge of all subjects within the framework of Truth. Though the true children of light in our generation have grown to be few and far between, the power of Christ is enough to utilize those of us left to make a lasting impact on our peers. We are children of the light; let’s live like it.

    What is American Food?

    What is American Food?

    by

    Since Oct 10, 2020 04:00 UTC

What is American Food? is a podcast exploring the many stories that make up our food system. Through storytelling, we reveal how our U.S. food system is designed – identifying where we can most impact hunger relief, climate change, and economic stability for families everywhere. Co-hosts Hannah Semler and Ali Berlow take a broad and deep dive into food systems, in a format that questions, informs, and discusses the nature of how we understand where our food comes from in the U.S. The first four episodes focuse on produce production in Mexico, developed over the last century to feed the U.S., and the food bank efforts that support millions of families who are food insecure in the U.S. We speak with business owners, nonprofits and funding institutions, as well as food systems practitioners in different sectors. Our focus is on lesser known stories about where the food we eat comes from and why, and the value of food for people and planet, in order to inform our future food systems design. What Is American Food? is grateful for the financial support from the Betsy and Jesse Fink Family Foundation.

Does he even have a plan for my life at all?” There is something in Ruth especially for you. Just because we are in a season of struggle, does not mean that God has left us. Ruth reminds us of a promise for everyone whose faith is in Christ: God is always working on something good for your life.

    BOSS Business of Surgery Series

    BOSS Business of Surgery Series

    by

    Since Dec 18, 2021 06:00 UTC

Welcome to BOSS Business of Surgery Series! This program was specifically designed to help surgeons learn concepts not taught in residency but necessary for a successful surgery career. We were not told that most of our job would be interacting with others. We thought it was about the technical success of surgery or the knowledge that we learn. But it is so much more. Difficult partners and colleagues. Dealing with complications. Negotiating with administration. Running a successful and efficient clinic that doesn’t take bleed into our home life. How to have a life outside of surgery But if we don’t learn these concepts, we will end up in a negative spiral that will lead us into misery. And all of the time we spent training for the job we love, that could be so rewarding, is lost. You know there has to be a solution out there. That you can’t be the only one unhappy or wondering if it is just you. It’s time for a program that addresses your specific problems run by someone who knows what you are going through. You need a fellow surgeon who knows the way. You need a surgeon who has been where you are and found her way out to the other side: -Loving surgery again -Not taking work home -finishing notes immediately after clinic and heading home on time -Not letting complications set you back -Interacting with others with confidence -Finally seeing that you can control the results you get at work and home You can find out more about Dr. Vertrees and her work at www.BOSSsurgery.com.
