In the Book of Genesis, the purpose for which God created us is contained. When architects design a building or artists draw a painting, they first conceive the work that would be completed in their minds before they actually begin working on their project. Just like this, our God also had our salvation of mankind in His mind even before He created the heavens and the earth, and He made Adam and Eve with this purpose in mind. And God needed to explain to us the domain of Heaven, which is not seen by our eyes of the flesh, by drawing an analogy to the domain of the earth that we can all see and understand. Even before the foundation of the world, God wanted to save mankind perfectly by giving the gospel of the water and the Spirit to everyone’s heart. So although all human beings were made out of dust, they must learn and know the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit to benefit their own souls. If people continue to live without knowing the dominion of Heaven, they will lose not only the things of the earth, but also everything that belongs to Heaven.

And yes, as the name implies, I am an atheist for Jesus. Now, I’m sure that most of you are asking: “Just what in the heck is an Atheist for Jesus?” Fair enough! I realize that this may well appear to be a contradiction of terms, so I’d best start out by defining my use of these terms. First of all, what I mean by the term “Atheist”, is that I do not believe that any deity is probable, nor do I believe that any deity that I have ever heard of is possible. Secondly, when I say that I am “for Jesus”, I do not mean to imply in any way that I have converted to Christianity or that I now believe Jesus to be a god. What I do mean is that I have come to have a great deal of respect for the teachings of Jesus. My respect for Jesus is not based on the Cross, but rather on the Mount–not on His death and supposed resurrection, but on His teachings as exemplified by the Sermon on the Mount. My name is Julie Rocco, and my purpose is to offer hope, healing, and happiness to individuals struggling with thoughts of suicide. In the depths of my own attempted suicide, I could not manifest thoughts of hope for a better, brighter future. The enduring pain and suffering eclipsed any glimmer of light, love, and life beyond the shadows of my pain. Hope was snuffed and suicide became my only option. I, like many others, am one of the fortunate who survived. This podcast will share “Rays of Light” illuminating What I Would Have Missed moments from individual submissions. We will also have more in-depth conversations with survivors of an attempted suicide and those who struggle with thoughts of suicide and ask them to reflect on their journey from suicide to living a life that considers and celebrates “What I Would Have Missed.” The podcast will also feature family, friends, and colleagues of the guest as well as professionals in the fields of health and wellness.
