    Mums who want more

    Mums who want more

    by

    Since Mar 25, 2021 13:15 UTC

I am the leader of the Lead and Inspire Community, a place for you to have time to think about what you truly want and how to make it happen. My superpower is providing you with the opportunity to prioritise your self-care through time management, organisational skills, reflection, and most of all identifying your superpowers. It may not sound too exciting or fun to you but I know that life will be joyful, fun, and truly how you want it to be once you know how to work with your energy cycle, organise your day the way you want to and start going for what you want.

What I talk about in this episode:

The comparison trap aka the grass is greener on the other side. I am super excited about this episode because it is leading me closer to sharing more about our Feminine Energy cycle. So today I am starting with.

Become curious about your comparison to others.

    Why does it trigger you?

What story are you telling yourself?

How are you feeling and is it actually something else that is making you feel this way?

    When it happens

You may find your comparing happens more on social media or after you have spoken to someone in person.

You will find there will be a particular week where your scrolling is non-stop and you feel really bad about yourself afterwards.

Remind yourself to stay in your own lane and even check your own lane- like they say water your own grass. I like to look at my own social media.

    When comparing can be useful.

Identify what it is that person wants or has and put it down on your dream board.

Send that person a thoughtful and genuine compliment- if you are really not up for sending love then don’t do this bit.

Set yourself and intention that you want to be doing something like this and set yourself a time frame.

    Eating at a Meeting

    Eating at a Meeting

    by

    Since Aug 27, 2020 04:00 UTC

Eating at a Meeting explores a variety of topics on food and beverage (F&B) and how they impact individual experience and inclusion, sustainability, culture, community, health and wellness, laws and more. The mission of Eating at a Meeting is to share authentic stories that illustrate the financial, social, emotional, and mental impact food and beverage have on individuals, organizations, and the earth. I see it being threefold: ● Help individuals and organizations understand how F&B impacts employee, customer and guest experience, the planet and the bottom line. ● Help those growing, producing, preparing, and serving F&B understand the duty of care they hold in food safety and inclusion as well as the opportunity they have to create experiences that are safe and inclusive. ● Support those with dietary needs by gathering their insight on eating at a meeting with dietary needs, helping them better advocate for themselves and educating them on the processes found on the other side of the kitchen door.

    Intermittent Fasting Stories

    Intermittent Fasting Stories

    by

    Since Nov 1, 2018 10:34 UTC

Are you ready to be inspired? Tune in each week to hear real-world stories from successful intermittent fasters, including their best tips to help you find success. Intermittent Fasting Stories is hosted by Gin Stephens, author of Delay, Don’t Deny: Living an Intermittent Fasting Lifestyle and Feast Without Fear: Food and the Delay, Don’t Deny Lifestyle.

In this episode of Intermittent Fasting Stories, Gin welcomes Bett Lucas back to the podcast. Bett was a guest on episode 40, and she shares how her life has changed since her last visit.

Gin’s new book Clean(ish) is available for preorder! Gin wants to show you how to become clean(ish) where it counts:you’ll learn how to eat (mostly) clean and live (mainly) clean as you unlock your body’s natural ability to self-clean.

Instead of aiming for perfection (which is impossible) or changing everything at once (which is hard, and never leads to lasting change), you’ll cut through the confusion, lose the fear, and embrace the freedom that comes from becoming clean(ish). As you learn how to lower your toxic load through small changes, smart swaps, and simple solutions, you’ll breathe a (clean) sigh of relief and embrace your own personal evolution toward becoming clean(ish).

Go to https://www.ginstephens.com/cleanish.html for more information. The book will be released on 1/4/22, but you can preorder now through Amazon or your favorite online book retailer. Preordering is really important, as it gives the publisher an idea of how many books to print.

Bett lives her best life in Washington state, where she is a busy mother of six children. She also hosts a podcast, Living Your Big Bold Life. Her podcast helps listeners to ‘live boldly in the areas of health, career and family.”

BIG NEWS! We have made some major changes in the Delay, Don’t Deny membership community, including moving to a whole new platform. Our old platform had some bugs and issues with functionality which kept us from connecting as easily as we hoped, so we have moved the entire community. It’s new and improved—and we are already feeling at home. If you’re looking for intermittent fasting support in a cozy community that celebrates the clean fast, you can now join us by going to ginstephens.com/community. And, if you were a Delay, Don’t Deny Social Network member who was under-whelmed with the experience, we promise the new community has everything we hoped for but didn’t have on the old platform.

You can connect directly with Gin in the Ask Gin group, and she’ll answer all of your questions personally. If you’re new to intermittent fasting or recommitting to the IF lifestyle, join the 28-Day FAST Start group, and both Gin and the other group members will walk virtually beside you each day of your FAST Start. After your fast start, join Gin and other community members for support in The 1st Year group. There are many more useful spaces beyond these three, and you can join as many as you like.

Members of the DDD Community have access to all episodes of Intermittent Fasting Stories streaming within the community platform, ad-free! You can even download them to your device and listen off-line. That’s just one reason to join.

Visit ginstephens.com/communityto join. An annual membership is $59.95. If you aren’t ready to fully commit for a year, join for $9.99 a month and you can cancel at any time. If you know you’ll want to stay forever, we also have a lifetime membership option available.

IF is free. You don’t need to join our community to fast. But if you’re looking for support from a community of like-minded IFers, we are here for you at ginstephens.com/community.

NOTE: If you were an annual member of the DDD Social Network who joined between March and September of 2021, please go to https://dddsocialnetwork.com/news/96401, log in, and read about how you can make the transition to the new platform at no additional charge.

Get Gin’s books at http://www.ginstephens.com/get-the-books.html, including her New York Times Bestseller, Fast. Feast. Repeat., available wherever you buy books!

Echoes of Grace: Unheard Stories of Faith

Echoes of Grace: Unheard Stories of Faith

    by

    Since Jun 4, 2023 00:55 UTC

“Echoes of Grace: Unheard Stories of Faith and Redemption” is a unique and transformative podcast that invites you on a journey through biblical narratives, seen through a fresh lens. This podcast isn’t about recounting well-known tales; instead, it’s about discovering the unheard voices within these stories.

We explore the Bible from the perspectives of the often-overlooked entities present in the narratives – the objects, animals, and elements that bear silent witness to God’s ever-present grace and redemptive power. From the burning bush in Moses’s story to the Ark of Noah, from the lions in Daniel’s den to a humble sheaf in the fields of Ruth and Boaz, we seek to uncover and amplify these unique echoes of grace.

Each episode of “Echoes of Grace: Unheard Stories of Faith and Redemption” takes you on a journey, illuminating the extraordinary that lies within the ordinary. We delve into how these perspectives can shed new light on divine providence, the strength of faith, and the transformative power of redemption.

Join us in listening to these echoes of grace, and let’s discover together the timeless truths resonating through the Scripture, reminding us of God’s unfailing love, His constant presence, and the far-reaching impact of our faith. This podcast is for anyone seeking a deeper, richer understanding of the Bible and longing to hear the silent voices that echo God’s truth throughout Scripture.

    A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Shakespeare

    A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Shakespeare

    by

    Since Feb 18, 2022 13:45 UTC

Magic, fairies, young lovers chasing each other through a forest, a man with a donkey’s head, and impish Puck wreaking havoc right and left. What’s going on here? It’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Shakespeare at his most fanciful. The play opens with Theseus, Duke of Athens, preparing for his wedding. Egeus complains to Theseus that his daughter Hermia refuses to marry Demetrius. When Hermia is given the choice between marriage to Demetrius or life as a nun, she and her true love Lysander flee into the forest. Demetrius follows them; and Helena, who loves Demetrius, follows him. Also in the forest are Oberon and Titania, king and queen of the fairies, at odds with one another. At Oberon’s behest, Puck causes Demetrius to fall in love with Helena — oops, he missed, that was Lysander instead. Mayhem ensues. In the meantime, a group of bumbling craftsmen rehearses a play. Puck gives one of them, Bottom, the head of an ass and makes Titania fall in love with him. Further hilarity results as Bottom sees nothing at all odd about this. Eventually everything is straightened out, Bottom and the rest “perform” their play, there is a triple wedding, and Puck assures us the whole thing has been a dream.
