You Could Do That On Television

    Since Apr 24, 2023 21:36 UTC

You Could Do That On Television is a weekly podcast where comedians Mohanad Elshieky and Hannah Wright dive into the insane era of early 2000s reality TV. In each episode they’ll focus on a different chaotic show, reminisce on all the wild things these genre-pioneering shows used to be able to get away with that would never fly now, and even talk to some former cast-members. From “Date My Mom” to “The Swan” to “The Pick-Up Artist”, our minds will be blown at what you could do on television. Coming May 2023! Get bonus content on Patreon

David Hodge: The Boy Who Sat By The Window

    by

    Since Oct 21, 2021 10:01 UTC

David Hodge as ‘Dusty O’ was known as the ‘Queen of Soho’, he was one of the most visible and popular faces on the London club scene. Dusty ran his own legendary club night “Trannyshack” at Madame JoJo’s for over a decade where he rubbed shoulders (and shoulder pads) with the stars. Then, five years ago, Dusty gave up performing and started painting.

David Hodge: The Boy Who Sat By The Window charts David’s journey from the suburbs of Birmingham to the bright lights of Soho, up to his current life as an artist. Decade by decade David describes his life, the highs and the lows. This is his story, his truth, in his own words.

Boy George, a long-time friend and collaborator since the 1980s, has composed the podcast’s theme tune and he is featured in each episode discussing songs from the decades.

David’s life has been an odyssey – from stage to screen to stardom and to obscurity and then back again. Most importantly it has been REAL.

    We Love The OC

    We Love The OC

    by

    Since Aug 5, 2018 17:00 UTC

We Love the OC is a podcast dedicated to the un-ironic love of the 2003 Fox series The OC. We do a deep dive into one episode per week where we discuss everything from the music and fashion of the episode to the historical and cultural contexts of the time that it aired. Our belief is that this show is not only fun to talk about, but important to talk about because of its place in the culture of mid-2000s America. Be prepared to think critically, laugh earnestly, and perhaps receive a twinge of nostalgia as we examine the greatest American Teen Drama of all time. We love the OC, and we think you should love the OC too.
