Exhibition curator and Henry Raeburn expert Amanda Herries gives a fascinating insight into this special exhibition at Kirkcudbright Galleries in 2024. It brings together works by Scotland’s foremost portrait painter, many from private collections, which haven’t been seen in public for some time, some possibly ever.
About the host: Amanda Herries read Archaeology & Anthropology at Cambridge. In 1978 she became curator at the Museum of London, specialising in the decorative arts from 1718 to present day. In 1988 she moved to Japan, lecturing and writing on Oriental/Western cross-cultural and artistic influences. She writes and lectures worldwide on decorative arts topics.

Expanding upon a 12+ year friendship, founded on a mutual love of hip-hop… My persistently wrong co-host, Patrick ‘Rico’ Williams, and myself (the just as often wrong Kyle ‘Kontradyction’ Leonard) review various albums of our choosing. Be prepared for hilarious commentary, some Guy Love bickering, a debatably excessive amount of cursing, and hip-hop discussion the likes of which you’ve never heard before. *All tracks used are for review purposes only, and we do not own the copyright. **Any self-produced music will be specified in episode description.

What are the underlying themes of Star Trek? What is the worldview of Star Wars? Also sometimes Heaton performs comedy on other planets.
