And of course, the show can often go in really random directions, because there are literally, No Instructions. So, put away your work, grab your favorite model kit, and have some designated play time.

GRANDstories is a podcast featuring stories of grandparent caregiving, told by rural grandparent caregivers. This podcast comes to you from the Union City Family Support Center in Union City, PA. Pennsylvania is home to about 80,000 grandparent caregivers, who are responsible for nearly 90,000 children. GRANDstories will also provide advice from human resource providers and members of the health and legal fields. If you’re interested in grandfamilies, you’ll enjoy GRANDstories.
This grandfamily came out to the picnic thrown by Erie County’s Kinship Caregiver Network. Roberta and Dan are raising their grandson in Erie County, PA. We struck up a nice rapport at the recent Kinship picnic. They were eager to share stories from the nine years they’ve been grandparent caregivers. Some of the topics contained in this episode include building family traditions, connecting with their grandson’s teachers, social and family acceptance, and respite. You’ll hear a short clip from a YouTube video called “Grandparents Raising Grandchildren-You’re Not Alone” during this episode.
