Every week we examine how diet culture, body image issues and our own hectic lives get in the way of putting a dinner on the table that we can all feel good about. And we offer practical, road-tested tips to help you make peace with your own eating (or your kid’s picky eating!) and find more joy in your family’s food life. Hosted by best friends and writers Amy Palanjian (creator of the popular blog Yummy Toddler Food) and Virginia Sole-Smith (author of The Eating Instinct).

    Since May 1, 2019 22:01 UTC

You are stuck, hopping on and off diets, and trying the latest one with a glimmer of hope that it will bring you the life of your dreams…the perfect partner and family, an awesome closet of clothes that look amazing on you, remarkable vacations that people only see on pinterest, a fulfilling career that lights you up, best girlfriends and an exciting social life… I hate to break it to you but the diet is not going to get you there. It’s actually just going to restrict good food and fun from your life, and leave you binge eating a pint of ice cream when you can’t handle it anymore. So instead of a soul-sucking diet, you need to start soul-searching to help you figure out what activities, career, and relationships will fill your soul on a regular basis. And that’s exactly what we do here on the Quit Dieting for Good podcast. We will dive into diet culture, intuitive eating, all forms of self-care, emotional eating, body image, and more through teachings from me, your health & lifestyle coach, and honest conversations with amazing women from around the world that have valuable nuggets of wisdom to share.

Walk away from each episode with hyper-actionable steps to shift your self-talk from reactive to proactive, as well as inspiration to keep going when the going gets tough. Last Cut Conversations with Samantha Paige

Last Cut Conversations with Samantha Paige

    by

    Since Dec 9, 2016 02:27 UTC

Ever felt like a stranger in your own life? Artist Samantha Paige, the creator of Last Cut, did for far too long. It wasn’t until she began deep, vulnerable self-inquiry and actively listened to the answers that her life began to change. A young adult cancer survivor and BRCA previvor, who suffered from PTSD and debilitating panic attacks, she finally started making the significant decisions, or last cuts, that made her feel as if her life were her own again. With this new way of being, she began to experience more wellness, happiness and freedom than ever before. Last cut conversations is a series of real talk with others about what they believe in most and how they too have created a life that feels like their own. Freedom, as a word and concept, is still very much on the table for so many and the question of what it means to each of us is the theme of Season 2. This season features engaging dialogue with artists, activists, nature lovers, survivors, change makers and other brave and bold human beings, sharing the ways we each create a life that feels like our own (what we move towards and what we let go of in the process) and the (inner/outer) freedom found along the way. Every Monday, Samantha will share a new episode with an inspirational guest, bravely sharing their last cut stories.
