The Apocalyptic Gospel Podcast explores the Gospel as a first-century Jew would have understood it. A conversation about the Gospel, the Kingdom of God, or the Day of the Lord in the first century would have evoked a body of ideas not immediately present with a simple word study of these terms. In this weekly podcast, a pastor, campus minister, and missionary mine the Torah, Biblical Prophets, and Second Temple writings for the origin and development of these ideas as we help give context to this first-century Jewish message and encourage disciples of Jesus to boldly proclaim it and patiently wait for the God of Israel to fulfill his covenantal promises.

New Listeners, start here: The Birth of Jesus.
Bible Curious is an exploration into sacred scripture, driven by curiosity. The population of planet Earth is 33% Christian. It’s 24% Muslim, and the Qur’an does acknowledge the Bible as Holy Scripture. Between these two faiths, that’s over half of Earth’s population. If I was an alien coming to this planet for the first time, and I wanted to play a game of “Take Me To Your Leader,” it wouldn’t take long before I found this book in my hands. If I want to understand this planet, planet Earth, I need to know what’s in this text. To ignore it, or to dismiss it casually, is to cast aside the very underpinnings of western civilization, which is the dominant culture of this planet. I mean, aren’t you at least curious about what it actually says? I know I am.

This life is messy and integrating Jesus and faith often doesn’t look like what we thought it was “supposed” to. Yet we as we show up we can heal and grow in all God promises.
There is often great difficulty finding simple, authentic and safe connection with others. It is difficult, and we all need it. This podcast is an open invitation to keep discovering together the “more” available for mind, body and soul integration in Christ.
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
