This Too Shall Last with K.J. Ramsey

    by

    Since Jan 14, 2020 20:57 UTC

This Too Shall Last features author and therapist K.J. Ramsey (MA, LPC, NCC) and interview guests as they have frank, honest conversations about the hard things in our lives. Glimpse the sacred space of guests’ real-life stories and how they are continuing to find grace in suffering—including ongoing mental health issues, trauma and abuse, addiction, chronic illness and chronic pain, grief, loss, and spiritual questioning. Listen in as KJ integrates theology with the field of interpersonal neurobiology, drawing from the work of Curt Thompson and Dan Siegel, to inspire you to engage your body, story, and relationships as places God is still present. Stories that include suffering are worth telling and worth living, and this podcast will help spark curiosity and courage to live like that’s true. KJ’s book, This Too Shall Last: Finding Grace When Suffering Lingers releases May 12, 2020 with Zondervan. Preorder at kjramsey.com/book

Welcome to “Let’s Raise Awareness of Mental Health,” produced by your hostess Victoria Kidson! Are you tired of seeing women with autism overlooked and under-represented in society? In each episode, we’ll be joined by women and marginalised individuals who will share their personal recovery journeys and provide valuable tips and resources for managing autism and/or maintaining mental well-being. I also acknowledge the positive impact that men are making to change the world of disabilities, mental health, and neurodiversity as part of the #HeforShe movement. Victoria will share her personal insights and experience with mental health and recovery. She will discuss the importance of taking care of our mental wellbeing and the power of positivity in the journey towards healing. Victoria will also share some tips and tricks for maintaining a healthy mindset, and offer some light-hearted moments to keep things “giggles and smiles.” Tune in as Victoria encourages listeners to prioritise their mental health and shares her story of hope and resilience. MY MISSION: To empower and support women with autism and undiagnosed autism to embrace their unique identities and achieve positive change and recovery. I am striving to create a safe and inclusive community where these women can explore and utilise their creativity, build self-worth, and develop the skills and self-awareness necessary for self-acceptance and self-help. I believe that every woman with autism has the potential to thrive and lead fulfilling lives, and it is my goal to provide the tools, resources, and support they need to do so. Through a combination of education, empowerment, and community building, I hope to inspire and enable these women to embrace their strengths, embrace their challenges, and embrace their futures. So, join me in my mission to help women with autism accept themselves and accept a positive change and recovery.
