    SVU POD: Especially Heinous

    by

    Since May 2, 2020 20:17 UTC

Welcome to SVU Pod: Especially Heinous, the podcast where Best Pals/SVU Enthusiasts, Gabe and Tasha recap episodes of everyone’s favorite sexually based offense fictional crime drama, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit! But, wait. There are 20 years of episodes! Will you be starting from the pilot? UM, YEAH! Following the recap, we’ll bring you, what we call, our True Crime Chaser. Because Law and Order is “ripped from the headlines”, Tasha will be telling you a true story that relates to the SVU episode, in that it either influenced the episode or is similar in content. Thanks for listening! Love you, bye!

    Sense Memory

    Sense Memory

    by

    Since Mar 7, 2013 05:59 UTC

If our memory is the thing that shapes and defines us, that informs who we are at our very core, then God help us all…for memory, is a wicked and deceitful wretch. Thrust into a search for his own sister’s killer, Benjamin Cady flees Colorado and the only world he understands to scour the streets of Los Angeles, plagued by headaches and memories of murder. He quickly discovers that L.A. is not unknown to him, and as his memories of his sister’s death become clearer, so does the possibility that Ben himself may be the murderer. Lieutenant Jim Banquer has plenty of bodies, but every witness seems to be suffering from a mysterious form of amnesia. Investigating these deaths means he must piece together the scattered shards of a deadly power scheme that goes well beyond murder, and Ben is the key. Sense Memory is a psychological thriller that weaves an intricate web of doubt and intrigue as it goes, leaving no thread unstrung. A sure page-burner, this story will stay with you long after the smoke clears.

    A Moment In Time

    A Moment In Time

    by

    Since Mar 28, 2011 06:10 UTC

Dateline: Sydney. Thursday April 01, 2010 For many people, it is the day before a 4 day long weekend because of Easter. However, for a group of Sydney women doing extraordinary jobs, it is a regular day. A Moment In Time follows these women as they go about their work in traditional male roles. The women are all aiming to do the best that they can to get through each day regardless of what Sydney throws at them. Their aim is to be able to go home at the end of their shift, alive. Most people take for granted that they will go home alive at the end of the day. But for these women, lots of training, teamwork, dedication and a little bit of luck is needed. Written by Eric Brook (aka Erk from Channel Erk Podcasts), this is his first novel. You might know him better from the online world and podcasting. This book is partly based on his experiences working on the Sydney railway system, as a volunteer in an Emergency Service organisation and as a life long Sydney resident. The book is entirely set on Thursday 01 April 2010. Following each character through the city of Sydney, incidents and their lives interconnect through the story. A Moment In Time was almost entirely written on an iPhone using an application called My Writing Nook.
