Four doofuses discuss music with none of the bona fides required to do so. Every Thursday we chose four albums that best represent an extremely specific genre of music, (for instance Roadtripping to a Funeral, Dish Washing, Music to Buy a Boat To), and through a very “scientific” and “””democratic””” process, we choose the best one. Impressions, bad jokes, and occasional realness abound.
Two movies that have been forgotten, under-appreciated, or bombed at the box office square off against each other. These movies will be described, dissected, built up, torn down, and finally judged. At the end of the show the champions for each movie reveal their true feelings for the movies.

Scarjo A Go-Go is the podcast where we chronicle and dissect the films of Scarlett Johansson one-by-one in chronological order, learning everything there is to know about her career and her craft as she grows from tiny nugget to A-list actor. It is presented with respect, humour, and academic rigor. And we only ever refer to her by the reductive “Scarjo” in the title/theme song, because it rhymes. Ms. Johansson, we salute you!

People often ask if we know where our children are, but perhaps it is our parents who are unaccounted for! Grab a forty (or the stimulant of your choice), and join iconoclast social workers Kazu Jumanji and Dickie Don as they document American cultural decadence, spiritual malaise, and the erosion of our social norms and political institutions through a balanced fusion of candid ribaldry and insightful inquiry, as well as attempt to answer the essential question of our age: “Where are these people’s parents?”

On this evidence-driven debate show, panelists argue controversial theories behind hit songs—from rap to rock to showtunes—exploring three grand themes that weave through all of pop music: Heroin, Buttsex, and Lord of the Rings. But what is “Eye of the Tiger” ACTUALLY about? For that matter, what is Sade’s 1985 hit “Sweetest Taboo” really about? — Heroin? Buttsex? Either seems credible. Perhaps it’s written from the perspective of the wizard Saruman, exulting in the power gained from his secret fealty to the dark lord Sauron. Our goal is to inspire consensus-driven debate, while encouraging a community of pop music and LotR criticism, interpretation, and appreciation.Call 424-209-2071 to contribute, or email at HBSLOTR@gmail.com

“Warui Deshou” is a Japanese phrase that roughly translates to “It will be bad.” And, we believe we make bad content…but we also believe that very thing can be good when there’s enough love and fun put into it! Hosts and friends Doc and Shadon love anime and really enjoy talking about it. For hours at a time. Each episode they will discuss a different anime show/movie and will aim to make you think and make you laugh. They’re just as likely to unabashedly gush about how cool a character is as they are to launch into a long aside of thematic analysis. Bad puns and impressions may also appear Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/waruideshou/support
