Two Irish eejits talk movies, life, games and whatever the hell else comes up!

We cover a new movie each week – with new episodes coming every second Tuesday! We’re not experts, but we try to give some cool info we can dig out on each film – mostly we’re just two friends talking about movies, taking the piss and being idiots.

Throw us a few euro so we can keep up the lavish lifestyle we are accustomed to at https://plus.acast.com/s/sure-itll-be-grand.

    Since Mar 2, 2021 05:00 UTC

Marvel’s Declassified is a non-fiction narrative podcast focusing on the rich, dynamic, and evolving history of Marvel Comics – as told through a contemporary lens. Each episode is hosted by writer and comic book expert, Lorraine Cink (author of Powers of a Girl , co-author of Marvel Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, and Ultimate Marvel) and acclaimed journalist and critic Evan Narcisse (author of Marvel’s Rise of the Black Panther). Utilizing unique access to writers, artists, editors, and industry insiders who have shaped key storylines and witnessed firsthand the historical shifts within the comic book industry, we get the real story of Marvel Comics it could only be told by the House of Ideas itself.

You may know George R.R. Martin as the writer of the epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire, which was adapted into the HBO series Game of Thrones. But long before becoming a world-renowned science fiction and fantasy writer, George R.R. Martin was just a kid in Bayonne, New Jersey, who read a LOT of comics. Lorraine and Evan chatted with George on last week’s episode—but there was so much more to talk about! In this final bonus episode, George speaks more about his early days as an avid Marvel reader, his engagement with the fanzine community as a teen, and the lasting impression that Marvel stories have left on his life and work. Plus, he reads one of his early letters to Marvel!
